Combine shape and pen tool
Integrate the ability to draw straight lines and circles into the regular pen tool. It takes time to constantly have to switch between the shape tool and the pen. It would make writing and taking notes more intuitive, creating seamless transitions.

Real Support Would Be Nice
I have been a Goodnotes user for many years. I have a problem with Goodnotes for Mac. I cannot find where there is any support for your product: no telephone, no email, no chat, no nothing. There should be support. If it exists, it should be easier to find. My problem, for what it is worth, is that Goodnotes for Mac constantly prompts me to upgrade to the lastest version of the software while telling me that there is a syncing problem. I have the lastest versions. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software repeatedly. Nothing works to resolve this…

Have tabs to separate notebooks into sections
It would be helpful to divide a notebook into sections with tabs. For example, if I’m setting up a cookbook, I’d like to have one Notebook called “Recipes”, with tabs for Beef, Poultry, Vegetables, Breads, Cakes, Pies, Cookies, etc.

Shape Tool toggle
I much prefered it when we could toggle the shape tool on and off(goodnotes 4), rather than having a shape tool that only really works with the pen tool and not the highlighter tool. The highlighter shape recognition is missing, why? You can draw a straight line with the highlighter, but if you want to do anything more complex like geometry it does not work.

Brighter Highlighters for black paper
The highlighter options on black paper are very grim and don’t show up as bright as pen colors do. True highlighter colors showing up on black paper would be an awesome addition I feel, and hopefully not too difficult a feature to implement!

Re-Auto Backup
Back then in GN4, Auto backups used to check for Changes and update the latest change to the destination folder. I always keep the destination folder up to date that there’s no duplicate files with different name (because I change their name and they’re both kept in the folder) or other problems like the duplicated file that I deleted one of them but they’re both kept and etc. So I always change the destination folder to restart auto backup process so that all the files in that folder look exactly the same with my current document in GN at the…

Google Drive Sync is gone or is it just me that cant find the option?

Hoping to improve the bad writing experience

Extend existing straight lines
Pretty self explanatory. I draw graphs alot and often I have to increase the dimensions. I wish I could use the shape tool and just extend or add onto the length of one of my axis lines.

Have the option to disable the auto-advancing zoom window
Since I use Goodnotes for a lot of math/engineering work, not all of my lines take up an entire zoom window and I always have to manually press the 'x' or move the box.
Please allow the option to disable the auto-advancing option or have it so that it won't activate until we reach over 3/4 of the window.1 voteYou can disable “auto-advance” in Menu > Settings > Document Editing.

Address current weaknesses of the app.
I have been using GoodNotes 5 almost every day since its release, and I've noted a couple of shortcomings with the current app.
The shape tool is very faulty. Sometimes, lines will not be corrected, and it's difficult to draw basic shapes without the lines snapping to form odd, undesirable shapes. The GoodNotes 4 shape tool is superior.
Highlighters on dark templates. I love the dark template, as it makes reading my notes easier on the eyes, and my writing tends to look nicer on it. However, I tend to rely on highlighting when I'm revising, which isn't possible with…

When you’re on a webpage in your browser, tap the share button and locate “Open in GoodNotes” in the list of actions. This will create a PDF of the website in GoodNotes.

better shapes like notability or onenote
The recognition feature is great but i miss the opportunity to make precise rectangles like in OneNote or in Notability with the shape mode that launches when you hold the pencil stil.
Moving the corners of a shape ex a rectangle and enabling a background color in the later run would be lit as well

Import Multiple Files in Goodnotes 5
In goodnotes 4 you could import multiple files at once, whether they be templates or new PDF notebooks. PLEASE bring this to goodnotes 5!

Highlighter and UI improvement
The highlighter actually is “bugged”. For example when having a darker template (dark/black), the highlighter just blends in the background/ is dulled. And changing it to be brighter and crispier could be great too.
The other thing I want to talk about is in the tool bar when we open the tool’s menu, then to close the menu we have to tap elsewhere. It could be cool to close it by tapping where we opened it (tapping the tool itself).
Other than that, you do a really great job, there is other things which could be improved or added, like…
