I'M GETTING HEADACHES! User experience on mac is clunky and simply mirrors iPad gestures
Hi GoodNotes team,
Thanks for developing an amazing notetaking app for iPad. I just have some suggestions for the mac version to improve workflow and efficiency.
I like your app, but I want to love it.HIGH PRIORITY - makes the app annoying to use:
- clicking on a page thumbnail in the side bar NEEDS to bring me to that page
- change template (especially page size) for entire notebook/multiple pages
- multi-page selection is broken. it should also be optimised with [cmd + click] and [shift + click]
- DELETING A PAGE TAKES THREE CLICKS. AND SINCE MULTI-PAGE…2 votes -
Accessibility of Flashcards in Android phones
Improving the Access For Convince in terms of portability; Having the feature to scan through the flash cards on mobile phones would be the best for always on the go learners.

Lernkarten
Es wäre gut wenn man beim lernen mit den Lernkarten auch in die Karten reinzoomen könnte und so die Karten vergrößern könnte. Vor allem wenn man mal am iPhone lernen möchte oder einfach an einem kleineren Geräten.

Import flashcards with pictures from Anki
I'd like to transition to using GoodNotes exclusively for studying because of its fantastic study set feature. However, I'm facing a challenge in exporting my flashcards from Anki to GoodNotes. The problem arises due to the presence of pictures and highlights in my flashcards. It would be greatly appreciated if a solution could be found to address this issue.

zoom window improvements
The writing zoom window desperately needs usability improvements:
The LASSO tool should be available inside the zoom window.
All zoom window SETTINGS need to be PER PAPER TEMPLATE or at the very least per document.
The AUTO ADVANCE SETTING needs an easily accessible button at the top of the zoom window.
The LEFT MARGIN button should be altered in functionality: It should activate/ unlock with a tap (icon highlighting blue to indicate). While activated the dashed margin line should be freely draggable into the desired position and deactivate/lock itself afterwards automatically. A right margin would be nice too.
The CARRIAGE…

Writing and planning boards and notebooks and note cards for authors
Planning a novel needs so much space and specific cards, such as:
• character development
• scene structure
• act structure
• character profiles
• chapter outline
• plot outline
• etc.2 votes -
New way to organize colors for text (create folders for different colors)
Instead of having all of the colors next to one another, create a new way to organize the colors into different folders. This would make it easier to stick to a certain colors when using GoodNotes. While people would still have the option to have the colors side by side, allowing for some sort of organization folder would make it easier to find some colors and stick to those depending on the document being worked on.

Be able to add different colors for text boxes
Just like how you can add new presets for text color, allow users to edit the presets for the text boxes.

Add a draw and sketch feature for art students
I would love to see a pencil feature and be able to change the hardness from 9Bto 9H. As well as pressure sensitivity. And a smudge tool for shadows.
(I’m not asking to change into an art app )
I’m just trying to accommodate art students so that they can look back on their notes quickly. And have an ease of mind2 votes -
Replace a document with an 'updated document' and have the notes transferred over
Just like Scriptation App

Snap lock highlighting to text
It will be extremely useful if the highlighter tool automatically snapped to the text in the document.

Cornell Notes
I totally love your Full page text typing tool and use it daily. Especially the Cornell Notes template is my favorite to use with it. But unfortunately it takes a lot of effort to move a text box to the height of the text so that it looks nice and uniform. I would like to see a second frame on the left side of the Cornell Notes template in addition to the full page typing frame. This would be very helpful.

Zoom window starts a new line directly under the preceding line with a reference to the start of it
When hitting the return key for zoom window have it return to the next line under the first character of the previous written line. When taking hierarchical notes it’s annoying to have to constantly move the box manually and truly makes it unusable for taking notes this way. Adding a dotted reference to the start of the first character would also be helpful.

Increase Parameters for Zooming out on Documents
While using the app, especially in landscape mode to view lecture slides which are typically 16:9 inches you're unable to zoom out enough to view multiple slides at once.
You're able to do so while holding down but when released it snaps back to the initial size. Please it possible to remain at the perspective it was while zoomed out when you release the screen.

Typography lines or typography lock
Lines telling users that what they’ve written down is align with others in another line. Also, when using a squared paper, I mean now we can move it freely without any lock when we move pass through those grid lines. But it would be better, if the words we’ve written down are stayed or locked on the grid line.

Change default text color for each header or format while in typing mode.
This way, each heading can have a user-defined default color, and you don't have to change it every time.
This would pair nicely with keyboard shortcuts.

Search feature
I have a notebook I’ve purchased that I want to get the original formatting and I can’t do that because it doesn’t show up in the store anymore and I would like to see my in app purchases history to redownload a new version of the notebook I already have. There needs to be a search history and search feature in the app so we can find these things.

Keyboard shortcuts to change formats or styles in typing mode
Ex: Cmd + shift + 1 for heading 1 or like apple notes: cmd + shift + h
