Rotating items using lasso
I found this feature very helpful with my creative designs in previous versions of the app. I have long loved Goodnotes and am disappointed that I can no longer easily use this feature. While using lasso you can see that I can adjusted the size but there is no longer the option to rotate the selected shape.

Why was it removed?
Why were the Arabic fonts removed? All my friends and I are upset about the removal of the Arabic fonts. If they are not returned, I and all my friends will cancel the subscription and it will not be renewed. This is a tragedy. I have a project that I have been working on and coordinating for three years. I am surprised that today it is in a state of chaos because of the removal of the fonts that I was applying to it.

[shapes] Please bring back the old shape settings
I can’t really use the new shape tool to teach geometry.
The new version
- attaches the handwritten data to the shape, so I can’t move them separately
- automatically deletes parts of my handwritten notes if it’s on a shape
- it’s not possible to rotate the shapes.
- I can’t remove the border of the shape.I attached a few drawings that could be made easily in the previous versions.
Thanks if you consider to bring back the previous settings for the shape tool.2 votes -

search option to select location
search option for selecting location! when moving a file-doc, I often will not know the location of the file or folder to which i want to move. it is too time-consuming to search by clicking on folders to find the location I’m looking for. it would be great if there was a search window within the select, a location window!

Recording Playback Window
When listening to recordings, the pause, play, and progress bar used to be at the top of the screen and now they are in a window and in the way and I often accidentally hit it with my hand or pencil which is incredibly frustrating. Please put it back.

Move stickers/text between pages
When moving stickers or text boxes between pages, they disappear. The only way to make this work is to cut and paste. Please let us move stuff between pages.

Bring back the ability to:
Place an element that was saved from a text box
Edit the text box
Save it as a new elementThis feature was available in GN5. Please bring it back. It makes it easy to expand my text box based element library.

Anchor the floating toolbars
Please give an option to anchor toolbars. I see lots of comments about the regular pencil tool bar and I agree with those too.
But I want to draw attention to the tool bar that pops up when editing a text box. It move from above the text box to below the text box when the keyboard comes and goes making it annoying when it pops up right under my finger that was about to tap on another element etc. This UI UX makes it difficult to do anything fast.
Please give the option to dock the text editor toolbar…

[Tape] Prevent Selection Mode When Using Tape
When using tape over a marker highlight, lifting the tape automatically switches the app into selection mode. Please fix this behavior so that removing tape does not trigger selection mode.

Multi-Window Note Editing on iPad
Hello GoodNotes Team,
I’ve been a long-time user of GoodNotes, and I really appreciate the seamless experience it provides for note-taking and organizing documents. I would like to suggest a feature that I believe could significantly improve productivity for iPad users: multi-window note editing.
Currently, it is not possible to open two notes side by side in GoodNotes, which makes referencing or transferring information between notes less convenient. With a multi-window feature, users could:
View two or more notes simultaneously for easier cross-referencing.
Drag and drop text, images, or handwriting between notes.
Increase productivity for students, professionals, and anyone managing…

Improve Handwriting Readability Over Thick or Dark Lines
When writing a cross a solid thick line , some separation between the handwriting and the thick line is needed so for example the white outline around a dark letter will visually separate the handwriting from a line behind it. Outlined handwriting does not seem to be supported as of now.

Suggestion about adding an widget option in side bar.
I suggest adding a widget/tool option in side bar . This could include tools like a browser, AI tools, graph creators, calculators, and even custom or local AI tools. Any output from these tools shouldbe directly importable into notes. Also give us an option where, users could create and publish tools, and others could use or buy them as needed. This would make GoodNotes a complete all-in-one productivity app.

Automatic adjustment of internal links
When duplicating a notebook, the internal links should be automatically updated. Currently, you're redirected to the original notebook. It's very time-consuming to have to update each link individually, for example, in an annual planner.

I am a user of GoodNotes on a Microsoft Surface Studio (Windows version) . When using the Text Tool, the newly created text box should automatically span the entire paper width (or full usable margin width) without manually resizing each time.
Why it’s important:
Saves time and friction: each time I start a new text box, I currently have to resize it manually.
Provides a consistent look and layout across notes, especially when writing longer paragraphs.
Makes Windows version closer in functionality to what iPad version has, enhancing cross-platform consistency.
Suggestions for implementation:
