MIRROR TOOL
Hand drawing could be improved massively with a horizontal and vertical mirroring tool. Technical and scheme drawing would be much cleaner and faster.

sticky notes formating and whiteboard improvement
Been a subscriber on goodnotes for almost two years and I only used milanotes for whiteboards, however the difference is huge and making it hard for me to switch completely
Im not asking for all milanotes features (but hey id love that), but just make it less bland and nore pleasing to the eyes. being able to center the text like we want, shadows on sticky notes, color background features and overall just making it more pleasing to the eye and more freedom to custom our board like in milanote

re-enable macOS inline math calculations
Please re-enable macOS inline suggestions (math auto-calculation when typing 1+1=). This feature works in all native macOS apps and greatly improves typing. it would be extremely helpful to add a macOS-native text mode or option to re-enable inline suggestions

Dashed lines do not export on PDF!
We have discovered that dashed lines export as solid lines when exporting to PDF - this is very unhelpful. Please resolve ASAP!

Flash cards
The font on the flash card should be able to be edited, and/or you should be able to scroll through the text on the flash card if the entire text is not readable on the card.

New update selecting images
With the new update, the ways that images get/don’t get selected is weird. The icon in the toolbar is only for inserting, whereas before I would use it to move and edit my images, and I would have the lasso deselected for images so I wouldn’t accidentally edit my background/template. Now I still have images deselected because I don’t want to move images while I’m moving something else, but now instead of using the image icon I have to hit the pen tool and select there, which seems to defeat the purpose? I just don’t get why I can select…

pictures
Make the writing in pictures permanent, and move with the pictures if I rearrange them. It is very frustrating trying to use this feature when every little thing, moves what I have written to the background or simply moves it to another part of the picture/page where I do not want it.
I literally only use Notability for this feature since they do not have this problem, and I wish to finally switch completely to Goodnotes!

Just says not supported by browser.. these e-ink tablets are really popular. I bought a subscription to goodnotes as i assumed it would run on android.. it will on a basic android tablet but not on these e-ink android-based ones like boox.

Fix Cloud Storage on essential plan
Every Good Notes Essential plan bought since September 23rd 2025 (previously called "All Platforms Yearly" doesn't enable the user to sync their files between Apple and Windows/Android. So the users basically have two separate apps.
That is absolutely useless.The advantage was to access and edit the files on different devices.
For example: It is way easier for me to type flashcards on my windows laptop than on my iPad but I can't even open them on my laptop if I export them (wich already would be inconvenient). So I can't use them together. Study Sets aren't even supported for…

Hide each tape color in one click
Pleaseee make a feature where we can hide and unhide tapes in one click and have the option to do so with EACH tape color at a time. Something similar to KiloNotes! It just takes too long to individually press the tapes when we need to review!

Pins for whiteboard
Using Whiteboard quite intensively right now there is one thing I‘d love to be added: pins! For example the app prodrafts has that feature on their whiteboard where you can place a pin anywhere on the whiteboard by long pressing somewhere. You can name that pin and set a color. There‘s a pins menu where you can see all your pins and by tapping on one quickly navigate to its place on the whiteboard. Monospaced font for "Code Block" in "Text Doc"
The new Text Doc document type offers the option to insert “Code Block”, which is intended to be an area for source code. However, it seems that the code block is not using a monospaced font, which may be an overlooked bug.

I used to be able to open two goodnotes apps at once, but that feature has disappeared over the summer. Every time I try to open two, it just reloads the first. This is very frustrating as I take all my notes on goodnotes, so when I try to make study notes I have to download all my notes and open them up separately. Placement of Handwriting-to-Text on PDF Templates
I really enjoy using Goodnotes.
Currently, when handwriting is converted to text, the placement and size often do not align correctly with PDF templates, requiring manual adjustment.
If you could add an auto-adjust feature—similar to PDF forms—that automatically fits text size and position to the lines, it would greatly improve usability.2 votes
