  2. Actually I'm using a Samsung Ultra Series which comes with a S pen and an iPad.
I've noticed that the app isn't avaiable for phones (only some android tablets)
It could be great if the app allows any android device almost in a "read only" mode, and for dedicated devices (as phones with pen capabilities, or external devices as keyboards, etc) integrates a "full mode" como en iOS.

  3. A simple upgrade that would help a lot with productivity and maintaining focus during my study sessions is shortcuts to change pen colors. I thought about using the numbers for it relative color in the toolbar, so number one would select the first color, number two the second one and so on.

I love to use specific colors for the same type of information or indicating something, and selecting manually the colors every time really gets my wrist tired overtime lmao.

I'd be really grateful if the devs can give me some of their work time to work with this

  4. I would like Goodnotes to add a Merge or Group Strokes feature.

For example, I can draw a bracket or box shape using several separate pen strokes. Visually, the strokes are meant to work together as one connected shape. However, Goodnotes still treats each stroke as separate. If I select only one part of the shape, the rest of the bracket stays behind.

What I want is a way to connect multiple strokes together with an invisible link, so they behave as one single object. After merging, selecting any part of the shape should select the whole merged object. Moving…

  5. The two-finger swipe gesture used for page navigation frequently triggers the pinch-to-zoom function unintentionally. This is a recurring source of friction — the app zooms in mid-navigation, requiring the user to manually reset the zoom level before continuing.

Request: Introduce a Zoom Lock toggle that disables pinch-to-zoom when activated. This should be accessible quickly — either from the toolbar or a floating button — so users can enable it during long note-taking or reading sessions where zoom is not needed. When Zoom Lock is on, two-finger gestures should be interpreted exclusively as page-turn inputs, not zoom triggers.

  6. On Android, navigating between pages in a long document currently requires a two-finger swipe gesture. Across documents of 30–50+ pages, this becomes physically fatiguing and interrupts the writing/reading flow.

Request: Add persistent on-screen buttons (next page / previous page) that allow single-tap navigation between pages. These should remain visible at all times during document view, without requiring the toolbar to be active. An optional toggle to show/hide them in Settings would also be useful for users who don't want the UI clutter.

  7. A toggleable (on/off) grid would make writing on imported PDFs much easier.

The Zoom Window helps only in small areas, and handwriting often becomes uneven when looking at the whole page.
A page‑wide grid would keep both handwriting and shapes aligned.

Additionally, a dot‑grid would be especially helpful because it guides writing without being too visible.

  8. I would like the ability to search across all documents, not just within a single file.
For example, if I search for a specific word like “rockxgr” and I don’t know which document contains it, the system should return all document(s) where that text appears.
In short, a global search feature that scans all documents and identifies where the specified word or phrase is located

  9. I know things autosave, but sometimes new things I write does not and then I lose all the things I wrote notes for my classes.

To help be more precise for users to know for sure their new edits are saved before closing, add a "SAVE NOW" button!! to prevent any of these issues.

  10. Hello,

It would be nice when you could change the template of the study set flascards. Just like in a normal textbook with the same standard options, like the three colors and grid, lined and others.

English is not my first language. Sorry for spelling or grammar mistakes. My mother tounge is german.

  11. For the people who uses pen tablets and doesn't directly write on the screen, the crosshair icon for the pen or pencil is really difficult to use. It should be made as an option for the user to choose which type and size of curser icon do they want like a simple mouse curser or a pen icon etc.

  13. It would be great if entire folders could be pinned to the tab bar.
This would allow quick access to frequently used collections of notebooks without having to open each document individually.

  14. For my classes I'm using different whiteboards for each subtopic of my curriculum, and often they're very interlinked. It would be nice to be able to insert a reference to my other whiteboards, maybe in the way of a link to easily open the other whiteboard with possibly a preview of the part I set it to show.

  15. When I write, I use a lined template that helps me structure my text. However, when I want to print the document, I prefer to remove the template. Currently, I have to change it page by page, which is time-consuming. I would like a way to update the template for multiple pages at onc

  16. I noticed that although 'Handwriting Search' and 'Handwriting-to-Text' are listed as features on the Japanese version of the site, Japanese is not actually available in the settings. It feels a bit misleading to promote these features on a localized page if the language itself isn't supported.

  17. Please add the ability to choose the app theme independently from the system.

Right now, Goodnotes on Windows follows the system theme, but many users may want a different theme inside the app (for example: dark system, light notes for better readability).

  18. Support for Video and Document Files in Folders

    Dear GoodNotes Team,

I would like to suggest a feature that I believe would greatly improve the usability of your application.

It would be extremely helpful if users could import and store video files, as well as document formats such as Word and Excel, directly within folders in GoodNotes. Currently, the app is excellent for notes and PDFs, but adding support for these file types would make it a much more complete professional tool.

In my case, I work as a carpenter, and I often need to present full project information to…

  20. I study with GoodNotes 6 on my Windows PC.

To highlight with a mouse is not fast if you wanna be accurate. Moroever, if it's a short word, that increases the difficulty.
When I try it, maybe 30% of times pop up a menu with the options: paste and add comment. It's extremely annoying, and it makes me waste time every day.

You should configure the option to disable it. Or at least, give us the option to modify the time the mouse click is held down, because right now it's crazy short.

    Thank you
