    Absolutely!

    I think a better gesture system for tool swapping would be that the double taps using a different amount of fingers would take you to user specifiable tools.

    For example:

    TWO finger double tap would take you to tool 1 of choice (user preference could be writing tool)
    THREE finger double tap would take you to tool 2 of choice (user preference could be eraser tool)
    FOUR finger double tap would take you to tool 3 of choice (user preference could be lasso tool)
