2. [Palm Gestures] Disable Palm Gestures

   Please introduce the possibility of palm gesture removal since the palm detection doesn't work properly when the iPad is used horizontally.
   When we write on an imported picture, every time the palm touches the screen, GoodNotes switches to the lasso tool, and it's kinda annoying.
   This feature is always on even if the iPad settings say to ignore the palm.

3. Inline LaTeX support for typed text in GoodNotes

   Hi GoodNotes team,

   I’m a heavy GoodNotes user on [iPad / Mac / iPhone] and I absolutely love using the app for studying and taking math/technical notes.

   I’ve noticed that GoodNotes currently doesn’t support inline LaTeX rendering in regular typed text (for example, writing $x^2 + y^2 = 1$ in a text box and having it render as nicely formatted math). I know you have great math / equation tools, but those generate separate equation objects rather than letting us mix math and normal text seamlessly in the same paragraph.

   For students and professionals in math, statistics, physics, engineering, and economics, having inline LaTeX in text boxes would be incredibly powerful. It would make it much easier to:
   • Write derivations and explanations with equations inside full sentences
   • Prepare more polished lecture notes and study guides
   • Keep math and regular text in a single, clean, editable text block instead of juggling multiple separate objects

   If possible, something like support for $...$ / $$...$$ syntax or a LaTeX mode for text boxes would solve this perfectly.

   Thank you for considering this and for all the work you’re already doing on GoodNotes. It’s a big part of my daily workflow, and inline LaTeX support would make it close to perfect for technical note-taking.

4. Customizable Laser Pointer Duration and Colors

   I’m a science teacher and I use Goodnotes regularly for teaching and presenting lessons.
   I really like the Laser Pointer feature, but I think two small improvements would make it much more useful for teachers:
   Adjustable laser trail duration: Let users choose how long the laser remains visible, such as 1, 3, 5, or 10 seconds. A 3–5 second option would be especially useful when explaining diagrams, graphs, and questions.
   Different laser colors: It would be great to have several color options, such as red, blue, green, and yellow. Teachers could use different colors for different purposes, such as red for important points and green for correct answers.
   These additions would make the Laser Pointer a much more flexible and powerful teaching tool.

5. List of approved email addresses for email import

   I would be much more comfortable if only email addresses that I approved beforehand could send pdfs via email directly to my devices.

   Similar to the implementation SAP Concur uses...
   - you could add your own personal or work email address to your Goodnotes account.
   - Only emails with pdf attachments originating from these approved addresses are then imported to the Goodnotes account.
   - Emails originating from other accounts are automatically declined

6. Product Politics

   Hello, I’ve been using GN for many years now. I keep my hardware as long as possible, and I’m increasingly finding that basic functions across my iPad and two MacBooks are no longer working. For instance, I can no longer exchange files in the Goodnotes format between my MacBook and iPad because the iPad version can no longer be updated. My iPad is running iOS 17, but the new GN version requires at least iOS 18. iCloud synchronization stopped working a long time ago. However, the fact that you can no longer even exchange the native Goodnotes file format is outrageous. Public institutions using GN are thus forced to replace their hardware every few years, even though the existing devices might still be perfectly good—just like my iPad. If there is no solution to this, we will be saying goodbye to GN for good. The product is nice, but the product quality is a disaster.

8. Table formatting issue when pasting from ChatGPT/Web

   Hello Goodnotes Team,

   I am a long-time user of Goodnotes, and I recently upgraded to Goodnotes 6. I am writing to request a crucial improvement regarding text formatting and tables.

   In Goodnotes 5, when I copied a table from ChatGPT or websites and pasted it into a text box, the table structure and grid format were preserved perfectly. However, in Goodnotes 6, this formatting is lost upon pasting; only the raw text appears or the table breaks entirely.

   Copying and pasting digital study materials (like ChatGPT tables) is essential for my workflow. It is very inconvenient to have to use workarounds like taking screenshots or passing through third-party apps just to keep the table format.

   Please improve Goodnotes 6 so that rich text and table structures from external sources are maintained when pasted, just like they used to be in Goodnotes 5.

9. searchable sticky notes

   the sticky notes are searchable while expanded...but the instant you collapse them the content can't be searched..Also image addition to the sticky notes should be feature. And the text in the added images(screenshots) should be searchable as well.

10. Searchable comments

    The comment pop-up should be resizeable like in Adobe Acrobat.. Also I'd like to be able to add pictures in the comments to make my notes decluttered. And the text should be editable (like in the regular ...bullet points, bold etc)

11. Different storage limits based on Goodnotes subscription plan

    I would like Goodnotes to offer different storage capacities depending on which subscription plan a user has.

    The current 5 GB storage limit is far too low, especially for users who have used Goodnotes for several years and store a large number of notebooks, PDFs, images and documents in the app.

    A paid subscription should include significantly more storage than a basic or lower-tier plan. For example, Goodnotes could offer storage levels such as:

    • Basic / lower-tier plan: 5–10 GB
    • Standard paid plan: 50 GB
    • Premium / higher-tier plan: 100 GB or more

    Users who pay more for Goodnotes should have access to more storage, and there could also be an option to purchase additional storage separately if needed.

    Goodnotes is increasingly used as a long-term digital workspace, not just a simple note-taking app. For users who rely heavily on Goodnotes, 5 GB is simply not enough for long-term use.

    Users can set the colour of background in QuickNotes but not in whiteboard (where only three basic colours are available), so I think it would be a cool improvement

    JUST GO BACK TO THE OLDER VERSION. IT WAS MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN WHATEVER THIS IS PLEASE I BEG OF YOU. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOUR I PROMISE WE WILL ALL APPRECIATE IT MORE AND KEEP PAYING FOR THIS APP, IF YOU JUST GO BACK TO THE VERSION WE HAD TWO TO THREE YEARS AGO AND REMOVE THE AI FEATURE IT MAKES THE APP CRASH AND ITS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. ABSOLUTELY ZERO PEOPLE USE IT AND I KNOW THAT BECAUSE I GO UNI WHERE LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS USE THIS APP AND NO ONE LIKES IT. OLD IS GOLD!!!!!!

16. Allow moving pages/notes directly into existing notebooks on macOS

    Currently, on the macOS version of Goodnotes, the "Move to" feature only allows selecting folders ("Solo cartelle"). It is not possible to move or merge a generated page directly into an existing notebook from this view.
    To add a page to a notebook, we currently have to move the file to the folder, open the target notebook, and manually import the page, which feels cumbersome compared to iPadOS.
    Please enable the option to view and select existing notebooks/documents as destination targets in the "Move to" menu on macOS.

18. "Mirror Presenter Page" shows wrong area when Goodnotes is in Split View

    Subject: "Mirror Presenter Page" shows wrong area when Goodnotes is in Split View

    Hello Goodnotes team,

    I mirror my iPad to an Apple TV via AirPlay and use "Mirror Presenter Page". When Goodnotes runs in Split View, the Apple TV does not show the same area that I see in the Goodnotes window on my iPad. It behaves as if the Goodnotes window were not in Split View, so the page and zoom on the TV are cut off or shifted.

    According to your help article, this mode should show the current page and zoom and only hide the other Split View app. So I would expect the TV to match the visible area of my Goodnotes window.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Connect the iPad to an Apple TV via Screen Mirroring.
    2. In Goodnotes, choose Share and Export > Mirror Presenter Page.
    3. Open Goodnotes in Split View next to another app.
    4. Compare the Apple TV with the Goodnotes window on the iPad.

    Expected: The Apple TV shows the area visible in my Goodnotes window.
    Actual: The Apple TV shows a different area, as if Split View were not active.

    Device: iPad Pro 13-inch (M5), iPadOS 27, Goodnotes 6

    I use this in my lessons, so a fix would be very helpful. Thank you!

20. Undo the automatic update

    How can I undo this last version of Goodnotes 6? I liked it better when the recording symbol wasn’t this horribly obvious as a big orange square. and I like it better when the toolbar didn’t move. Is there a way I can undo this update and back to the previous version of Goodnotes 6?!
