I get the feeling of wanting the app to stay out of the way so you can focus. I’ve toggled features on and off a lot, and a simple kill switch for AI would save so much tapping. Sometimes I just want to scribble without the app guessing what I’m trying to do. A clear on-off toggle would make both AI fans and AI avoiders way less grumpy.

Hiding pages feels like one of those small things that would save me from my own messy brain. I’ve ended up making duplicate notebooks just to stash stuff out of sight, which is a bit of a clown move. A simple toggle per page or a hidden section would keep drafts and half-baked ideas close without junking up the main flow. Even a way to collapse pages into a folder-like group could do the trick.

Having a built-in batch converter would save me so much wheel-spinning, especially on days when I’m drowning in scans. I’ve been hacking things together with third-party apps, but it always feels like duct tape on a moving car. If Goodnotes added presets you could save - like DPI, color mode, OCR language - it would cut out half the fuss and keep everything consistent across big workflows.
I ran into the same shape weirdness and ended up toggling off Shape Recognition as a quick fix, even though it's not ideal. Another trick that helped me spot what was happening was lowering the pen smoothing a bit so the app stops guessing too hard. If you want the devs to pinpoint it faster, a short screen recording showing the exact stroke that gets reshaped worked wonders for me.
