Exporting notes
Please allow me to customize the pages I want to export instead of doing one at a time or the whole document! It's a pain.
1 voteGoodNotes allows you to select the pages you want to export in the thumbnail view. Please find the exact steps here: https://support.goodnotes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000630495-Exporting-documents-or-pages-in-GoodNotes-5

Presentation mode in Microsoft Teams conference
It would be nice, if it was possible to enable the presentation mode, while you are sharing your screen in a Microsoft Teams conference.
1 voteTo trigger presentation mode, GoodNotes needs an “external screen”. You can accomplish this by using the workaround described here: https://medium.goodnotes.com/online-teaching-with-the-ipad-and-goodnotes-d0909a75e530

toggle auto swap between pen and eraser
Currently, if you double tap Apple Pencil to switch from pen to eraser, it will swap back to pen automatically. Some users might prefer, but this is not desired in some cases. Please add a toggle to disable this.
1 voteGoodNotes follows your preferred selection for the Apple Pencil double tap. You can adjust it in the iOS Settings app under “Apple Pencil”.

Hold to Draw Line
I like to underline titles and definitions, but in a fast-paced lecture it's cumbersome to select the shape tool, draw the line, then turn off the shape tool. Half the time I forget to turn it off and then make a mistake that takes even more time to fix. It would be a nice quality of life change to make it so that when you hold down the pen after drawing a manual line, it becomes a straight line a la the shape tool. It is the number one thing I miss about Notability.
9 votesWe’re happy to announce that the update 5.6.0 that we released today adds an improved shape recognition including the option to hold at the end of a line to make a perfect shape, shape selection & editing, and curve drawing. It further improves the recognition of circles and squares and adds back the ability to draw shapes with the highlighter.

Split view
It would be great if one could work with goodnotes split view and then be able to return to all my folders from my second goodnotes page. Until now I can only close the second page (x Botton on top left corner).
1 voteTo open another full instance of GoodNotes, please drag the app icon up from the iPad dock instead. You can find all ways on how to open multiple windows with GoodNotes here: https://support.goodnotes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001118635-Opening-GoodNotes-in-multiple-windows-on-iPadOS

Needs to change back the mouse cursor
I am using MacBook version of GoodNotes. The latest update changes mouse cursor to a tiny pointer which is not visible on MacBook screen. Please change it back.
2 votesThe next update 5.4.30 will be released tomorrow and will address this issue

Automatic shapes
Instead of having to use a shape tool, allow for automatic shape correction by continuing to press at the end of the stroke (as in apple notes and notability). This would allow for quick creation of boxes, straight lines and circles without having to change tools

Please change the geometry tool
It is really annoying and often not working. If I want to make a stripe longer it’s not at the same place anymore. Maybe just drawing and holding would be better. And that you can adjust the size. This problem is really annoying so please please fix it
1 voteWe have updated our shape recognition last week with lots of new features including what you suggested: https://support.goodnotes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000113596-Drawing-perfect-lines-and-shapes

Annotate PowerPoints
My professors give lectures using PowerPoints, which they share with us before class. When they're presenting the lectures, they usually give us extra information that is not present on the PowerPoint, which we need to write down in order to understand the material better. I can write these notes on a separate page but that's not as effective as writing them directly on the PowerPoint slides. If we could write notes directly on the PowerPoint, then everything would make much more sense. I would be able to see the bigger picture instead of seeing just the smaller fragments. It will…
1 voteGoodNotes for iPad and iPhone supports PowerPoint files already. If you’re using the Mac version, you will need to convert the PowerPoint file to PDF first.

Flashcard option
A flash card option would be magical, it’s really hard to find a decent app that has this option, basically a Apple Pencil compatible feature of what quizlet has. This would be a really big hit based on the amount of people looking for something with this option (Reddit forms)
1 voteThe latest update of GoodNotes includes a flash card feature. You can find more information here: https://support.goodnotes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001888175

Flashcards integration with Cornell template
Hey first I wanted to say this app is great and you guys are clearly be putting in tons of work and soul into this so I wanted to thank you.
I noticed there was a new experimental feature with the flashcards so I gave it a whirl and think this could be huge. Amazing.
I also wanted to give you guys a little suggestion, maybe this function could be integrated with the Cornell paper or the 2 columned paper (where the first column is thinner than the second) since I think most people who use these formats will probably…
1 voteYou can actually make any paper template a flash card.
1. Open “Notebook Templates” in the GoodNotes Menu
2. Tap on Edit in the upper right
3. Tap on template name and the …
4. Toggle the button next to “Flash Card Template”Now this paper template will be considered as a flash card. The top half is the question and the bottom half the answer.

Get back to your recently Opened Tabs
Sometimes, after switching Apps on iPad or iPhone and launching GoodNotes 5 again, the Foldersection is shown. That is is not the big deal and absolutely fine.
To make working smoother in GoodNotes it may be possible to add another Button in the downbar (with Favorites, Search, Sheared and Documents) with which it is possible to „reopen“ your current tabs, i was working at.Today i have to search my document or open another document to get back to my working area.
1 voteYou can use the “recently opened documents” section in the Search tab. We have noted your feedback and will see what we can do to make it faster and/or more intuitive.

Make shapes by long holding
With the ios14 update, it seems GoodNotes is the only note taking app that still uses a separate tool to create shapes. It would be great to make shapes by pausing after drawing. It would be even more helpful if we could make curves, arrows, and dotted lines like in Notability.
1 voteWe’re happy to announce that the update 5.6.0 that we released today adds an improved shape recognition including the option to hold at the end of a line to make a perfect shape, shape selection, and curve drawing.

Saving our Custom Colors
We should be able to save our created colors in GoodNotes 5 so that we don't have to keep the same tab open. Having our colors saved will save so much time since we don't have to create every single one again.
If not, then at least add a color eye drop tool!!!1 voteCustom colors you add to the presets should actually save in GoodNotes already. If it is not the case for you, please contact our support team via email to support@goodnotes.com so that we can check what’s wrong.

Improve shape recognition
Have you guys tried the notability shape recognition function?
OMG that shit will put you to shame. Please just copy their shit onto your shit. You guys got so many other good features going on for you.Really, your shape tool is impossible to use for anything other than make quirky and f*cked up shapes that I had no intention of making. I can't even make a damn square without some part of the line being messed up in a random direction. I even tried using a rule ON my iPad to assist my hand, but still I only get…

Add button to get fullscreen paper
We desperately need a button with the Following feature :
I attached two pictures where one of them is "full-screen" and the other one is not. Well, i loose time all the time by trying to make the paper fullscreen and a button for that would be amazin.
Thanks
1 voteYou can double-tap on the screen with one finger to automatically zoom into full width of the page.
