Please bring back our peaceful everyday lives!!! Why the latest update is so bad.
I’ve been using Goodnotes every single day for years. I truly appreciated its clean interface and powerful features that supported my workflow. But the most recent update has drastically changed that, in all the wrong ways.
I kept telling myself, “This update must be useful. I just need to give it time and get used to it.”
So I patiently tried using it for several days, but in the end, I came to the conclusion that this update is harming my mental well-being.Let me outline a few reasons why this update has made the experience worse:

Presenter notes not mirrored onto an externally connected screen
Ich wünsche mir eine Erweiterung der bereits vorhandenen gelben Haftnotizen (“Sticky Notes”) um eine Option, mit der diese Notizzettel – inklusive ihres Inhalts – nicht auf einen extern angeschlossenen Bildschirm oder Beamer gespiegelt werden.
Anwendungsfall:
Beim Präsentieren oder Unterrichten über einen externen Monitor/Beamer möchte ich mir private Notizen, Stichpunkte oder Erinnerungen auf einem Sticky Note direkt auf meinem eigenen Gerät (iPad) machen können, ohne dass diese für das Publikum auf der Leinwand sichtbar sind – ähnlich wie ein “Presenter-Notizen”-Modus, wie man ihn z. B. aus PowerPoint kennt.Gewünschtes Verhalten:

intertwined link, anchor Links & two-way Jump Portals on Whiteboards
On the new Infinite Whiteboard canvas, it would be extremely useful to create links that jump to a specific location/section on the canvas, rather than just a page.
Feature Concept:
Allow users to drop "Anchor Links" or "Portals" on the canvas. Creating a link in Area A that points to Area B should optionally generate a reverse link in Area B pointing back to Area A. Tapping either link immediately pans and zooms the canvas to the linked area. This would make navigating large Whiteboards seamless!1 vote -
[Object Menu] Show Copy, Paste and Take Screenshot without opening More (…)
After selecting something with the Lasso tool, I have to tap More (…) in the Object Menu to find Copy, Paste or Take Screenshot. On a smaller screen, I also have to scroll through that list. In Goodnotes 5, these actions appeared directly when I tapped the selection.
Copy and Paste are among the most-used actions in the app. Please show them directly in the Object Menu, or let us choose which actions are pinned there, the same way Toolbar Customization works for the main toolbar.

[Sidebar] Make "Bookmarks Only" and "Select pages" one tap again
Goodnotes 5: page thumbnails → Favorites, or page thumbnails → Select (one tap each).
Goodnotes 6: Sidebar → Pages → "All pages" dropdown → Bookmarks Only, and Sidebar → Pages → (…) → Select pages.I use both often: Bookmarks Only to review the pages I marked, and Select pages to move or export several pages at once. The extra steps slow me down every time. Please show them directly in the Pages panel again.

Individual Sorting Settings for Each Folder
I would love to have the option to set individual sorting preferences for each folder in Goodnotes.
For example, one folder could be sorted alphabetically, while another could be sorted by date created, date modified, or manually arranged. Currently, it would be much more convenient if each folder could remember its own sorting preference instead of applying the same sorting order everywhere.
This would make organizing notes much more flexible and improve the overall user experience, especially for students who use different folders for different subjects.

family sharing
Please allow family sharing for goodnotes pro. I used to share goodnotes 6 / essential with my kids-they used it for school purposes. Now being students they need to use pro version which I cannot share, so I would need to have 3 subscriptions within one family. Allow Sticky Notes (and tape) to Open in Practice Mode for Study Sets
I would like to be able to open sticky notes in study sets during practice. This way I don't have to go into edit mode in order see what is written in the note. This would be really awesome for recall studying (along with enabling tape in practice mode). It allows me to add more information on a card, and add definitions within definitions (as well as images). It would be super helpful for studying. Thanks!

Most Urgent Update For Goodnotes Smartlearn
Please bring this as soon as possible 🙏
For med/NEET students with 30k–40k+ flashcards, Smart Learn becomes extremely overwhelming because it recommends too many cards at once.
This is seriously affecting study efficiency, revision speed, consistency, and long-term retention.
Please let users set their own max active card limit (ex: 200 cards) for smarter revision.

Option to make tape transparent when printing
If you’re using tape to practice recall (not for decoration) then it’s always covering important information, even when printing.
When I’m printing my documents I don’t want the tape to be visible. I would prefer a toggle so it shows up in it’s highlighted revealed version.
Many people have mentioned removing tape for exports/pdfs/back ups. I’m specifically requesting this toggled functionality for printing.
This is critical for me because at the moment I just don’t use tape because it means each time I print I have to manually remove all the tape from my notes. I’d love to use this…

Request for temporary pencil
I practice multiple choice questions a lot , and instead of writing and erasing the answers , i want the temporary pencil like auto deleting the components i wrote after 1 ,2 hours. So i can practice again over the same sheet.

定規ツールの縮尺（スケール）設定機能の追加要望

いつも素晴らしいアプリを提供していただき、ありがとうございます。建築設計の業務において、iPadのGoodnotesに図面のPDFを読み込み、手書きで検討や修正、打合せ内容の書き込みを頻繁に行っています。その中で一つ要望がございます。
「定規ツールの縮尺（スケール）を、読み込んだ図面に合わせて任意に変更・設定できる機能」を追加していただけないでしょうか。
現状の定規ツールでは、図面上の実際の寸法（1/60や1/70など）を測りながら、クライアントに「階段の幅は〇〇cmです。」などの説明をする際に電卓で換算しないと寸法が出せません。定規のスケール合わせが可能になれば、建築やデザイン分野での実用性が飛躍的に向上し、さらに手放せないツールになります。
今後のアップデートにて、ぜひご検討いただけますと幸いです。よろしくお願いいたします。1 vote -
flashcards drawing functions
It would be great to be able to edit flashcards quicker than always taping in and out of editing mode. I'd also like to be able to toggle tape while viewing flashcards because I need more than just a question and answer side. There should also be an option to flip cards in smart learn.

[Handwriting] Korean support for Refine handwriting / Restyle
Refine handwriting (Restyle) does not work with Korean handwriting in Goodnotes 6 on iPad. When the document language is set to Korean, the option disappears from the Lasso menu. With Auto-detect, the option appears but only works for English handwriting. Goodnotes support confirmed that Korean is not currently supported for this feature.
Please add Korean support for Refine handwriting / Restyle. Korean handwriting recognition and search are already supported in Goodnotes, and many Korean users take handwritten notes, so this feature would be very useful.

Make us go back to pencil mode after using eraser
Since the new goodnotes (7) update, I always go back to latest tool I was using before the eraser, especially to the lasso tool, I do not want it, I want to be able to go back to pencil mode after the eraser again.

Make it quicker again
Goodnotes has become more cumbersome and slower with the latest update. I now need two clicks to switch between pens and the laser pointer. When I have images, there is now always a white border at the top of the projection, and I first have to switch to read-only mode to display the image in full screen.
The fold-out toolbox also takes up space on the screen.
Adding to favorites also requires one more click.
The updates have only increased the amount of work involved and represent a deterioration. On the other hand, I don't need AI or sound recordings.…15 votes
