More on "duplicate"
"Duplicate" rather than copy-paste would be a great idea. Already you can do it with a second GN window open (as noted in another comment) by dragging to the other window, dropping, then dragging back (even several times, if you want).
But why not allow the same facility without a second window? At the moment, dragging the "white box" in the same window looks promising... but disappoints by just snapping back when you let go. Why can't it simply duplicate? That would be a super time-saving feature.

Notebooks and Folders
I would like to be able to put folders into Notebooks so that I can organise my work flows. If this is not possible please can you make it possible to customise the folder cover, even if this is only by colour. There are some attractive Notebook Covers but the folder covers are rather dull and uninspiring.

Calligraphy mode for headers
(This is not about adding a calligraphy pen itself.)
I suggest adding a calligraphy mode, that similar to the app Over lets you type something and convert it to a nice style.
This makes it possible to create good-looking headers easily without having to be a pro.5 votes -
Battery drain
To address the battery drain issue maybe you could implement a feature in which the software transforms strokes into vectors just every 10 seconds or so instead of doing it instantly. Or maybe an option in which one can deactivate vectoring on pdf files, where in my opinion it is not really necessary. This problem is huge! 15-20 % drain in 1 hour of use is unacceptable. Despite preferring GoodNotes, this is the reason I really am considering Switching to Notability.

make highlighter presets available when changing colours
When selecting text or highlight lines and changing the colours, only the pen color presets are available. It would be great if there was a tab to switch to the highlighter color presets.

Show currently open tab
When you are in the file explorer, there is no way of opening the tabs currently open other than finding one file currently open and opening it or opening a random file and closing the new tab.

Adding “quick date” ability to naming notebooks
Would like a button or similar feature when naming a notebook or folder. I create multiple notebooks weekly and like to have the date as apart of the name. Need a quick way to do it.

Lasso tools - change text to icons
The text is too long (take screenshot, resize, color...).
Instead, show icons. Most these keywords have agreed icons (copy, cut, delete, color, resize).At least, when viewing two notebooks open side by side, showing icons in a must because one cannot even see the whole lasso menu, making choosing an action even more time consuming.

note switcher
I know there are tabs, but id like a way to open another document without having to leave my current note and go searching in the folders/search field directly. I feel it could save time.

Condensed Slides
Ability to condense power point slides into one, in order to alleviate the storage usage of the document but also to make finding the slides much more streamlined.
Meaning multiple slides(3 or more) would be put on one page in a slightly smaller version of the original in order to avoid having to scroll through lets say 90 slides or more.

Quick actions on Homescreen
Force touch / long press on Homescreen (Goodnotes app) for Quick actions where users can create new notes , or quickly get to folders.

Auto Place cursor in text field when creating a new Folder
When a new folder is created the user has to manually tap the text field to fill in the title..... instead, have the cursor auto-populate to the text field so that the user does not go to type... realize the field is not auto-selected and then have to go back and select it.

On/Off Switch to move the current Paper off the screen
The Problem: When I'm taking notes I'm bothered by reaching the right end side of the piece of "digital" paper I'm writing on currently, because of the hight of the iPad Pro I'm taking the notes with I'm forced to move my hand off the pad to write on the right hand side of the screen.

Add a feature that allow users to change handwriting colors uniformly
When I write in GoodNotes, I prefer to use dark papers, while yellow pencil is suitable. But if I show notes to others, I need to change the background, and yellow handwriting will become too shallow.

Hand writing template
I want my hand writing to look the same. For that, I’d like to create templates for each letter. Since GN has hand-writing recognition, it can then use these templates to replace my real-time hand writing with it, resulting a consistent hand-writing.

Notebook organization
It would be a great addition to the app if you, make it to where you press something to get to notebooks or when you have just a quick note you press something to get there. Where the notebooks are is not organized or appealing. I feel you should press something to get there but opening right up to it. it feels cluttered and not organized.

Change the look of written words after it is written
One note has the option to lasso a section of text and then click on a preset pen to change the text to the thickness and color of the preset pen. If I accidentally write something in the wrong thickness, I would have to rewrite it on GN which is a pain.
