Search for highlights / consolidated highlights
The apple books app has this great feature that shows all of your highlights in a given book under "notes." I would LOVE to see something similar on Goodnotes.
I color code my highlighting so if I could search for just orange highlights and then see all of my definitions (which I color code in orange) in one place and then jump to that page by tapping that would be amazing.

Make lines also available outside of shapes
I like underlining a lot of my handwriting, and constantly toggling between handwriting and underlining really decreases my writing speed!

Chemistry Shapes
Hi, the shapes figure option has a lot of difficulty recognizing hexagones and octogones, and double lines. It would be really nice to be able to draw those shapes for organic chemistry! Thank you so much!

Custom margin for right side
The left margin (where the text box begins) is customizable, which is great for indenting on the left side. However, I like to write in two columns, so it would be great if we could also adjust the margin that is on the right of the screen to narrow it to out liking. That way I do not have to continuously move the text box down a line when I reach the end of my column.
If I’m not mistaken, this is a feature that was on an earlier version of the app and it was super useful.

move annotations to a new PDF
I review alot of technical documents with goodnotes and often times, there will be updates to the underlying PDF Document from time to time. I would like the ability to move my annotated notes to the latest PDF.
In my situation, almost all of the time, the underlying PDF would have the same format, number of pages etc. So the ability of export only annotations (which you current support) and merge the exported PDF annotates with a new PDF would solve my problem.

For projector mode, the old display button should come back.
Instead of the new mirror mode and presentation mode, the old display button should come back since multiple apps can be used w/o the screen shifting and allows more control during presentations. I lecture in front of 1~200 people and use a mixture of apps.
I need the control so that I can seamlessly zoom in and out on key info without making people feel sick and use apps without having to readjust the screen all the time. Afterall, this is an app for the ipad.
Everything is done thru finger input and pen so the current mode is not…

Clear All Annotations
While there is a "clear page" option for clearing annotations for individual pages, it would be helpful if there was a "clear all annotations". This way, one could clear all annotations on every page in that notebook/file, rather than scrolling through each page one by one and manually clicking the current "clear page". I ask for this feature because as a college student, I like using Goodnotes for my practice exams, and it would be helpful if I could clear all my annotations from all the pages in my practice exam and start it fresh again.

Recognize mathematical input, be able to export MathML
To avoid ambiguity, there could be a button that creates a resizable box for entering formulas.
For mathematical formulas, it would be great if GoodNotes could recognize special characters such as Greek letters or things like "x" with a bar over it (used to denote the mean of numerical data) or x^a (x to the power a)
For such formulas, GoodNotes should support MathML export. What I mean is, GoodNotes would save both the formula as I entered it, plus the MathML form.
This feature would be very useful for scientists, engineers, mathematicians and computer science professionals.

Scroll-mode "flip-book style" on the iPad screen (mostly for screencasting pdf-presentations)
Presenting pdf slides on the iPad is important when screencasting lectures. Usually, animations are implemented by advancing pages seamlessly in the pdf file. Presenting such pdf slides is possible in full-screen presentation mode on an external screen using flip-book style page transitions. During screencasting, a flip-book style scroll mode on the iPad screen would allow the pdf animations (or any other prepared flip-book style animations) to appear correctly in the screencast.
Alternatively, support screencasting directly using the options from presentation mode on the external screens, i.e., screencasting with audio what one would see on the external monitor.

Selective sketch-to-text conversion
The lasso tool grabs either the picture or the converted text, unpredictably. Using it with other apps (Keynote presentation), the sketch is what I want, the text is unusable. A choice from the right click would be a smart solution, “copy, graphic” or “copy, converted”

Favorites or outlines per device
I have two devices. One at home for personal usage and one at work. I use different documents in each iPad and I’d like to be able to set different favorites docs in each.

Undo history
Please can you add “view action history” and allowing us to undo function please.
I find it so frustrating when I can only redo a limited number of times, yet my previous notes have been accidental deleted.To make it clear, I meant that I have accidentally make new notes on my previous document and deleted something that I previously had in the same document. And I couldn’t recover what I have in the same old document. The “undo” function the app provided is not rally user-friendly... :( and I find it disappointing... I hope that you may improve more…

Paper size that matches iPad screen size
Please provide a paper size that exactly matches the viewing area assuming that the toolbar is not hidden.
As it is, we always have to waste some screen real estate on margins (why?) and deal with zooming (why?). My notes will never be printed, so I don't need them to be on "A4 paper", I need them to be sized to my screen, which is where they live.
