New functions
I find the application very good and practical, but I think it could be improved a lot if some key functions were added. For example, the possibility of creating tables similar to those in Word, with the option to give them custom colors and formats, which would help a lot to organize the information in a visual and orderly way. It would also be very useful to have brushes to highlight, underline or customize annotations in a more dynamic way. Structure-Tree Module
I wanna say yes and and improve the Index Post-It idea. It makes navigating in the digital notebook almost impossible when you don‘t have guiding index post-it‘s on the side, especially if the content of the study is already quite big by it‘s nature, like the German Grammer. Having the ability to put it would make Goodnotes equal with the paper book alternative. But having it as a Structure-Tree would make it even better.

Ability to keep lassoed image as overlay (Picture-in-Picture / PiP)
I love reading PDFs with GoodNotes on my tablet, because it is comfortable, and I can highlight and scribble notes.
Sometimes I'm reading a paper and it will keep referring to a figure on a previous page. I would love to temporarily lassoo that figure, and keep it as a floating window/overlay while I'm otherwise normally scrolling, reading, and marking the document.
Think of this as similar to the "Document split view" of some word processors, but much more flexible, and taking much less space away from the main document view.

Improve the anti-slip function of the notes
When in use, it often leads to accidental finger touches that trigger the long-press function for adding comments, thereby interrupting the writing process. This issue occurs very frequently and significantly affects the user experience. I hope a switch can be added to disable this function.

Color/Stlye Options for Text Tool
I love to use the text tool but currently it is quite inconvenient to use. I would love to define my own text field styles and save them to reuse instead of always defining them again. Also it would be great to have a color picker in the style section so I don‘t need to copy the HEX Codes from e.g. Pen tool where the color picker is present.

SEE SEVERAL DOCUMENTS SIMULTANEOUSLY (ANDROID, WEB, WINDOWS)
It seems basic, but on Android, the web, and iOS, we're not allowed to view two Good Notes files at once. This is quite important, because sometimes you use two PDFs to study at the same time, and if it doesn't let you open two documents on the same screen, it becomes very difficult to study from this app.

Paper parameters support customization (paper size supports customization)
At present, there are only fixed A4, A3 and other sizes, which cannot meet the needs of users. Even if the manuscript paper template is imported, the template can only be the built-in size of the software, so it is necessary to support the parameters of the custom manuscript paper, such as: size, upper, lower, left and right margins, background and line format and color, etc.

Direct API Integration with Notion
Direct API Integration with Notion! I use Notion for organizing my personal life, school, and work. But I love handwriting notes over typing so Goodnotes has all my planners/notes. Right now I am unable to embed Goodnotes in Notion, but this would be extremely helpful!!!! Please collab!

Typing/Text Box Needs Improvement
I enjoy typing most of my notes but then adding drawings/figures underneath them, but I find the text feature to be lacking and very frustrating. Specifically the bullet point list needs to be updated and there should be more options to tab lists (like on google docs). Also sometimes when I go back into a text box it will start typing the letters below the previous word. I just find the text box feature super glitchy and could be improved.

Update the writing on the screen feature
I want to write on the screen and use it as Google Docs or Obsidian, Notion, etc. But it doesn't have any fonts and I want to take written notes on it because handwriting everything or using text boxes is tiring.

Eraser
We have two gesture options, squeeze and double tap. I would love to be able to set squeeze to bring up/put away the eraser and double tap to switch between my two most recent tools, but ignore the eraser as an option. That way i can go back and forth between my pen a highlighter without having the erase override one. Example: highlight something, double tap to write with the pen, squeeze to erase a mistake, squeeze to return to pen, double tap to go to highlighter.The highlighter/pen sequence could be totally separate from the eraser function.

Pen settings
Please make the pen settings like tip sharpness, pressure, sensitivity, etc. Customised or tailored as per user choice.
Pen features in Freenotes app provide good handwriting and such should be incorporated in the Goodnotes app too for better user experience.
Please upgrade these features in the next update.

Make the pen settings like Tip sharpness, pressure sensitivity, tip flatness etc. tailored/customised as per anyone’s choice. (Currently it offers only 25,50,75,100%)
Please improve this and move away from “one size fits all approach”.
Also, check the stylus pen in Freenotes app, it has really good features.

Spaced repetition integration for flashcards
I’d love to see spaced repetition integrated directly into the flashcard feature in GoodNotes.
Currently, flashcards are static—you flip them manually without any learning algorithm behind them. If GoodNotes could implement a spaced repetition system (SRS) like Anki or RemNote, it would massively boost its usefulness for students, med students, language learners, and anyone prepping for exams.
Why it matters:
Spaced repetition is proven to improve long-term memory retention. Right now, users have to export their flashcards to other apps to use this method — integrating it natively would keep everything in GoodNotes and streamline the learning process.
