I’m hoping they do this! There’s an app called Nebo that does an excellent job of converting handwriting to math and recognizes Greek letters with no problem. Whatever methodology they use for this, I hope GoodNotes will do the same!

As an economics PhD student, it would be great to have a reliable ink to text math editor... one that is capable of more than outputting a single equation awkwardly in the middle of the page, and can instead go “long form” math. I have tried a couple of apps for ink to text math, but they have trouble recognizing Greek letters, subscripts, and special characters like tildas, hats, and under bar/over bar, which I use pretty extensively in my work. It would still be a wonderful feature to be able to have in GoodNotes.

I vote for this option or other options which allow goodnotes to recognize math text and convert it to /latex/mathjax/...whatever.../. Moreover I would be willing to crowdfunding this feature which is a must for my daily workflow.

What we do in most of the time in our life is: Writing notes and .... ? MATH, we live the life doing this, and it still don't have an app that give this possibilities: Writing notes and using math that the app recognise it and convert it from hand writing. Myscript is near but not that what is should be. The point is not only to recognise the math formulas or numbers and to calculate it, The point is to be recognised all in a notes handwriting how long as we want and at the end to convert it . Thank you, i hope you will realise this if you will be done with it i believe that you will have success .

There is nothing like this on the appstore and I think it's the best way to draw things on the iPad.

I agree ( though not necessarily need to be similar to MyScript). Some handwriting recognition for math equations ( into latex or markdown) would be awesome! Please do it!
