  1. We need a box for FAVOURITE TEXT STYLES.
For my documents I use different fonts but each font is associated with a different text size and line spacing. it's very difficult for me to change the text and every characteristic each time in order to have the style I want, instead it would be very useful if I had a box with my favourites.

  2. Hi Goodnotes team,

I love using Goodnotes for creating my presentation slides — it's intuitive and works really well for my workflow. However, I still have to export my slides as a PDF and import them into PowerPoint in order to present them properly. This step feels unnecessary and could be avoided if Goodnotes had a few key presentation-friendly features:

A presenter mode where I can see my personal notes while the audience only sees the slides
Simple animations or progressive reveal of elements during the presentation
Remote control support, e.g., using a smartphone as a presenter or clicker
    Adding…

  3. I would like to suggest a feature that would improve visibility and clarity during writing sessions, especially when using screen-sharing or presenting.

While in Pen Mode, it would be extremely helpful to have an optional highlighted circle or pointer around the pen tip as I write. This would act like a visual guide, making it easier for others to follow the writing in real time, and for the writer to keep track of the precise pen location, especially on larger screens or when using a stylus.

This feature would be similar to a cursor highlight or visual pointer found in…

  6. The App loads for five seconds every time I switch from another app to Goodnotes that’s incredibly annoying and Please, Please fix this. Generally the App is really slow even on a fast device.
I think you should fix such problems first instead of inventing the 3rd AI feature or a nasty animated circle around the active tool. I mean wtf nobody needs this. I just want a working app.

  7. I wish a copy-and-paste feature of notebook to another folder, as a single action.

When I need to make copies of a file and put them in multiple folders, I have to repeat the operations: 1. Copy the file, which creates a copy under the name of 'Copy of foobar', 2. Move it to a folder, 3. Change the name of the moved file to delete the prefixed 'Copy of'.
This is a very awkward way of making multiple copies. I would like to operate like the Move operation: Long tap on the notebook -> Seclect Copy-To -> Select the…

  8. Dear programmers,

Please, Allows us to use shortcut to change colors while using Keyboard for take notes. That’s really useful… we need to use hand/pencil to change colors and this take some time.
Example: cmd + r (change to red) or maybe we could setup our preferences though
Bye bye bets programmers in intire swift world. Haha

  12. I suggest adding a calculator feature to GoodNotes 6 to enhance its functionality and streamline user workflows. This feature could allow users to perform calculations directly within their notes, making it especially useful for students, professionals, and anyone working with numerical data. For example, a floating calculator tool could be integrated into the app, enabling users to perform quick calculations without leaving the workspace. Alternatively, a feature that allows handwritten equations to be converted into calculated results would align well with GoodNotes’ emphasis on handwriting recognition and natural note-taking. This addition would not only save time but also make GoodNotes…

  13. When drawing an arrow freely with the ballpoint pen tool, it would be fantastic if GoodNotes could automatically convert it into a neat, straight arrow. This feature could also adapt to curved arrows, subtly smoothing out the lines without losing the intended shape. For example, if the user creates a zig-zag arrow, the feature would only refine the edges slightly to make it look smoother, without drastically altering the zig-zag style.

If this doesn’t consume too many resources on the iPad, it would be a great addition to improve the visual appeal of notes, allowing for more polished and professional-looking…

  14. When writing continues from the current page to the next, the next page should be automatically added, and the handwriting should seamlessly extend to the following page rather than being "cut off" or "eaten" by it. (Similar to the writing experience in Notability, which handles this particularly well.)

  15. Hello GoodNotes Team,

Thank you for the great app! I really enjoy using the audio recording feature while writing notes, especially because it syncs perfectly with my handwriting.

I would love to have an option to export the note with both the audio and the synchronized handwriting, either as an interactive file or a video. This would allow me to share my lecture notes with friends in the exact way I experienced them — with the timing of each written point aligned to the recording.

Currently, sharing a PDF or exporting as images loses that functionality, and it’s a big…

  17. I would like to suggest adding two new tools: a geo triangle and a compass. These tools would significantly enhance the functionality of the app, particularly for mathematical tasks. A geo triangle would make it easier to draw precise angles and lines, while a compass would allow users to create accurate circles and arcs. Both tools would be invaluable for students and improve their learning experience.

Additionally, I’ve noticed that the lengths on the ruler do not align perfectly with the boxes on the checkered sheets. Fixing this alignment issue would greatly improve accuracy and usability.

    Thank you for considering…

  19. I paid for GoodNotes 5 as well as the interim GoodNotes 5 upgrade. My app was upgraded to GoodNotes 6 during iOS App Store updates. Now I’m being forced to purchase a GoodNotes 6 subscription with a nag screen even though I’m running version 5. I suggest that you leave us happy version 5 people alone, stop holding our data ransom and avoid a class action lawsuit suit.

  20. I currently create notes when working (in a notebook) and then go on to create flashcards for a topic - rather than creating flashcards directly from study material.

I use different software for flashcards but would reconsider if there was an easier (or more obvious way) to create flashcards from a notebook i.e. circle to select some text and add it to a flashcard the same way I can screenshot it
