    Please give users the option to see what percentage the page is zoomed on. This will help with consistent handwriting and text size. Allow users to save or favorite their zoom settings. Have this option on the toolbar where it can be easily seen when writing.

  2. MAKE THE RHOMBUS A SHAPE

    Make it possible for the app to recognise a rhombus shape and enhance shape recognition in general. Sometimes when I make small circles it detects them as ovals or worse as squares. For my use case this problem is a huuge limitation.

  3. Ability to set default font per notebook

    My most used goodnotes notebooks are drastically different page sizes. I often have to switch the font continuously or duplicate an existing text box in the destination notebook in order to have the proper sized font.

  4. It would be fantastic if the laser pointer could also be used to hide and unhide the tape in my notes

    It would be fantastic if the laser pointer could also be used to hide and unhide the tape in my notes!

    I suggest this because during my exam revision I use the laser pointer tool to quickly write the answer to what the tape is concealing. I then have to switch tool to the tape tool to uncover the tape and check my answer.

    Why not have the laser pointer tool hide and unhide the tape in my notes?

  5. Curves+Grouping+Layers

    1) Make curves with more than 3 points because I like to make vector drawings and it’s really hard to make a variety of curves when limited to 3 points

    2) Add a grouping feature which allowed you to move sections instead of the individual components more easily

    3) Adding some version of editable layers would make creating images and diagrams easier instead of doing “move to front” or “move to back”

  6. Changing linetype and thickness with lassl

    It would be nice if we can change linetype (dotted, dashed) and thickness after selecting line with lasso like we can change color.
    It would be so helpful because now if i want dotted or dashed line after i write or draw something i have to redraw it again. It would be nice to just select it with lasso and change line settings like you want

  7. Enhancement in the layers that are currently under consideration

    I have seen many comments about the requests for layers, but none that mentioned exactly the things that I would like to see, so forgive me if this is a duplicate of pieces from a couple of individual ones that I may have missed the wording to:

    Noteful added the ability to create specific layers on top of a PDF, and this is fantastic. I can write my specific notes on top of scanned in meeting minutes, program notes, notes about anything my kids are doing, I just scan a picture of the meeting agenda into a pdf, load it,…

  8. MacOS change Toolbar

    Hallo,
    ich bin Lehrkraft und nutze ihre App in der Schule an einem digitalem Board. Auf dem iPad kann ich die Toolbar nach unten setzen, das würde ich mir auch für MacOS wünschen. Leider habe ich die Option nicht gefunden.

    Im besten fall wäre es so, dass ich nur die Werkzeugleiste verschieben kann ohne die offenen Dokumente

  9. Improve the pencil feature!

    The pencil is transparent and lacks boldness and clarity. When zooming out the strokes can appear fragmented, which diminishes the overall visual quality of the notes. Add some adjustable opacity settings to offer a more defined stroke.

  10. Handwriting enhancement

    Similar to your auto-correct feature, this tool would recognize the handwriting and make it neater and more consistent.
    It would not be the convert feature, which although very useful for the same purposes, requires time and effort, disturbs diagrams and mind maps, and is not as user-friendly as the refine feature in Apple Notes, which I have missed since switching to GoodNotes.

    Online there are tremendously useful AI services that convert a PDF to a set of study cards. It would be amazing to be able to have AI convert notes to study sets automatically.

  12. Lock shapes to grid

    It would be amazing for technical sketching if shapes would lock to the grid when either drawing or using the lasso tool. Additionally the circle shape should have their handles for resizing on the top, bottom, left and right (always) instead of somewhere random. A „snap to center“ option would be also great, so you could e.g. center one circle within another one easily.

  13. Feature Suggestion: Auto-Beautify Arrows for GoodNotes

    When drawing an arrow freely with the ballpoint pen tool, it would be fantastic if GoodNotes could automatically convert it into a neat, straight arrow. This feature could also adapt to curved arrows, subtly smoothing out the lines without losing the intended shape. For example, if the user creates a zig-zag arrow, the feature would only refine the edges slightly to make it look smoother, without drastically altering the zig-zag style.

    If this doesn’t consume too many resources on the iPad, it would be a great addition to improve the visual appeal of notes, allowing for more polished and professional-looking…

    Hello GoodNotes Team,

    I use the GoodNotes app daily for studying and journaling, and I’d like to suggest a feature that could make the user experience even smoother.

    Currently, to view two pages side-by-side, I need to enter split mode, which requires multiple steps: pressing the split mode button, selecting GoodNotes again, and reopening the file. While this works, it can be inconvenient, especially for frequent use.

    I’d love to suggest a two-page view that automatically activates when the device is placed horizontally (landscape orientation) without needing additional steps or split mode. This adjustment would allow for a seamless experience…

  16. In "Ask goodnotes" - the translate action should remember your language selection!!!

    Ask goodnotes is a good thing but needs some pretty obvious, low hanging improvements to be really usable.
    When you select "translate" from the quick actions in "Ask goodnotes" you need to enter the language every time! This is incredibly annoying. Obviously it needs to remember your selection.
    In addition, the language defaults to the language of the text, which is, in gentle terms, less than intelligent. Make it default to English or to the system's language....

  17. Handwritten hyperlinks and type page number for hyperlinks

    Hyperlink handwritten notes and be able to just type in the page number for the hyperlinks (for internal document hyperlinking) instead of having to have to scroll through Th pages to find the page to hyperlink.

  19. Audio Transcription to 9th gen iPad

    A update for audio transcript for the 9th gen iPad should be made as other note taking apps allow you to do audio transcription on almost relatively new generations of iPads. No reason to pay for goodnotes and while only certain feature are only available to people who have certain iPads.

  20. Add Brush Settings and Improved Handwriting for the Fountain Pen, Similar to the Pencil Tool

    The newly added pencil tool in Goodnotes 6 offers an excellent writing and sketching experience, with smooth and intuitive strokes. It would be fantastic to have similar brush settings and handwriting functionality for the fountain pen, giving users the option to adjust it for more stable, precise writing. Currently, the fountain pen feels unstable, and I often find myself switching to Noteful for better handwriting. If the fountain pen could incorporate the same improvements seen in the pencil tool, it would make Goodnotes 6 a more versatile and complete tool for note-taking and sketching.
