It would be fantastic if the laser pointer could also be used to hide and unhide the tape in my notes!
I suggest this because during my exam revision I use the laser pointer tool to quickly write the answer to what the tape is concealing. I then have to switch tool to the tape tool to uncover the tape and check my answer.
Why not have the laser pointer tool hide and unhide the tape in my notes?

It is so irritating to switch back to pen, just unhide tape
It should be universal to hide or unhide whatever tool I use
