Collaborate on shared notebooks with multiple users
Simulaneously share notebooks for use through the web with other users.
Talkboard is a free app by Citrix that allows for sharing of a white board with multiple users. The writing features are in general, the same as good notes.
If notebooks could support features to share with other users simultaneously, even select notebooks, then I would be able to use good notes as a collaboration tool on top of it being a note taking tool.
516 votesWe’re happy to announce the release of our new update GoodNotes 5.5 including “Shared Documents”. You can now share a document with other GoodNotes users and work together on them. You can read everything about the first version of shared documents here: https://medium.goodnotes.com/link-sharing-share-documents-adb36f99c583
Details on how to use the new features and FAQ are available here: https://support.goodnotes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001571256-Sharing-a-document-with-other-users-to-collaborate-on-it

Add integration support for Onedrive for Business
My company uses Onedrive for Business and it would be great if Goodnotes could integrate with that. The current integration with Onedrive does not include Onedrive for Business

Password protect
It would be great if you had an option to password protect a selected notebook in case you have to create one that would contain sensitive information.
8,309 votesIntroducing Password Protection for your documents
To lock a document, tap on the context menu for the document in the library view and set a password. Anytime you try to open, export, duplicate, or delete the document, Goodnotes will ask you for the set password. If you’re using a device that supports FaceID or TouchID, you can use these instead of your password to unlock a document. Please note that you can have only one password that will apply to all locked notebooks and that Password Protection is only available in Goodnotes 6. Learn more
Update to version 6.4.2 in App Store to use Password Protection.

Allow for us to backup to both Goodnotes and PDF formats, instead of only one.
I like being able to read my pdf's that I annotate on my desktop, but also want to back up the original goodnotes source. This would require minimal programming changes and would be a really nice change. Just allow us to select from checkboxes whether we want goodnotes, pdf, or both formats. (Or none)
8 votesWe included this option in the automatic-backup feature in GoodNotes 5.4 that is now available as an update on the App Store.

Handwriting and text rotation
I love taking notes and drawing in GoodNotes and it would be great if I could rotate the objects I've drawn on the page. We can already change the color and scale the object, so it would be nice to be able to rotate these objects.
2,513 votesRotation of handwritten objects is possible in GoodNotes 5. Select the objects with the lasso tool and tap on “resize”. You’ll also find the option to rotate the selection.

Integrate tasks with iOS Reminders
Have the ability to create a task and have it show up in the Reminders app in iOS. A lot of times I take notes and need to create tasks to follow up on them. It would be nice to be able to schedule a reminder.
62 votesThis is possible thanks to drag and drop support on iOS 11 or higher. Select handwriting with the lasso tool and then drag and drop it into another app, for example, reminders. A task will be created from the recognized text.

Sticker library with sticker search
Provide small library of ideally scaleable stickers that can be placed on page... Stars, light bulbs, flags, people, '.', men@work, Alerts etc
This would help with being able to visually tag drawings and text (in page) with favourite 'standard' icon-stickers to draw attention when flipping through pages.
Also provide the ability to then search through book to find pages with selected stickers so that I could find all my ideas, thoughts, questions, important items etc
Simple idea with powerful results26 votesWe have released GoodNotes 5.7.0 today that includes our latest feature “Elements”. It allows you to save and reuse frequently needed objects like stickers, stamps, calligraphy, tables, graphs, sketches and more. You can learn more about Element by visiting this blog post: https://medium.goodnotes.com/introducing-elements-save-reuse-stickers-stamps-5275ab9cfd03

Scroll PDF vertically
It is nice to be able to go to the next page going down instead of going left. It would also be nice if scrolling down to the next page continuous without jumping to the next page, so you can see the bottom of one page and the top of the next page.
1,514 votesVertical scrolling is supported in GoodNotes 5. It can be set in the … menu of a document or in the document settings.

Make highlighter default to highlight in straight line and not freestyle!
Please please pleaseeeee give me the option to highlight in a straight line as the default way to highlight. It is INCREDIBLY frustrating to be writing in freestyle when I'm taking notes in class then I have to press the shapes button and then press the highlighter button to switch to highlighter in order to highlight in a straight line. It would make my notes not look like a hot mess when I'm done. PLEASEEEEE!! At least allow there to be an option to default the highlighter to highlight in a straight line.
19 votesWe’re happy to announce that the update 5.6.0 that we released today adds an improved shape recognition including the option to hold at the end of a line to make a perfect shape, shape selection & editing, and curve drawing. It further improves the recognition of circles and squares and adds back the ability to draw shapes with the highlighter.

Converting handwriting to text
Would be great having a feature that allows you to write stuff with a stylus pen or finger and then, if wanted, convert it to text.
