not having a widget forces us to use other apps that have widgets, cant believe there is no gn widget,,,,

The obvious way to make a widget is to have it display your books. Personally I’d like it to be the largest sized widget that displays a page from a specific book (the last open page of chosen book). This way when I’m using goodnotes as a planner, I can have my page for the day on my home screen showing my priorities, todos, ideas.

Yes, I’m actively seeking an app that does what GoodNotes does and has a widget. The widget and ease of access to particular notebooks is vital. Uncertain why I’m having a difficult time finding how to do this in GoodNotes in 2022 but here we are

Yes!!! Goodnotes NEEDS a WIDGET feature. Ideally we can edit the widget to show the notebook page we want displayed on the Home Screen.

This is perfect timing especially with newest IOS update and everyone customizing their Lock Screen and home a screen.

It is very important that the application incorporates a widget for the home screen. A widget will make it easier to quickly enter recent notes or notes that the user has highlighted. The ideal shape is in all sizes with a bookcase style. I want to add that this addition would make the application a real rival to the speed presented by the native apple application. Absolutely…. I use this app more than any other. A Home Screen widget. Would be awesome. Especially if you could customize the widget for either notebook or last used.

Yeah same, esp now that we can keep widgets on the home screen I'd like to see a pdf as a widget. I use my digital planner with Goodnotes, so I'd like to be able to have a widget on my home screen that lets me see the last page I was on. That way before bed I can switch it to the next page/day, and when I open the ipad the next morning I see what my day plan looks like without having to remember to open the app. This would help extremely with my "out of sight out of mind" issue I have with forgetting to actually open my planner.

I second this opinion. I think it would be great to have something similar (or better) to the Apple’s files widget. Pick and choose what notebooks you want in the widget for easy access from home screen. My favorites section is too clogged at this point and I have to scroll and search a lot for certain things I use often.

I'm in a debate about Notability vs Goodnotes 5, on which platform to use for my notes for this upcoming year. A widget for the iPad would probably be a real extra bonus which probably would make me choose Goodnotes. Being able to open a file from the home screen would be an incredible convenience.

This would be a great add! I’m transitioning from conventional calendars and notetaking and incorporating everything into GoodNotes. Would love to have a widget theat would allow me to add a quick note to remind me to enter into goodnotes notebook

Love using GoodNotes to keep track of my weekly notes at work. I, too, would also love to see a widget which allows you to jot down a quick page without having to open the app all the way.

In the widget have a “home screen of app” option, or better yet, three notebooks options for being able to go straight to the notebook we need.
