[Object Alignment] Visual Guides to Align Objects or to Grids
Lines to locate the different elements in the page. When you want to align two elements is really difficult because there aren’t any guides that assure you the correct position.
This feature would be optional, I mean, if you want, you could use it and if you didn’t want, you wouldn’t use.
[Object Alignment is in progress 🚧]
Hello,
Thank you so much for sharing your suggestions! Great news! Object Alignment is currently in progress and will go live soon.
When you drag a shape, sticky note, image, text box, or handwriting on your canvas, real-time guide lines will show you exactly when it lines up with a neighboring object's edge or center -- release to snap into place. Everything can also snap to the grid for clean, evenly-spaced layouts.
We'll keep you updated as things move forward, and we'd love to hear your thoughts or any additional feedback you'd like to share in the meantime.

As a math student, I want to the objects to snap to a grid. As of now, I draw a poor looking circle that either comes out as round or elliptical, and I have to painstakingly try to pinch it in a position that works.
I would rather have templates, or make it snap into a grid. Also, I want a favourite bar of most used colors in the top right. There's plenty of space.

Have the option to enable/disable guidelines (lines and/or gridlines), while I'm writing on a template, that way I can write on a "straight line" in a blank template for example.

This would considerably help me in the applications I use this for.

I have the same idea. I'd like use GoodNotes app to create AD&D maps and snappig the shapes to graph paper lines would be great.

Would be awesome to implement guiding lines for handwriting to improve handwringing on blank paper. So that I can show or hide them when I write on blank paper instead of using lined paper.
Secondly would be to customize writing styles for my Apple Pencil, for example I am using a 1.6 size for the regular text, so if I want to write a headline and I could select a custome setting for "Headline 1" which is a 2.6 size and maybe a different color - like I would do if I would write in word. -

Snapping to shapes would be good too

It would be great if you could snap the end points of lines and corners of polygons to grid points especially when using graph paper. This would only be on when shape recognition was enabled. The grid should be programmable, but should default to the drawn grid on the graph paper.
