Good notes suggestion for this problem is to use the autosnap tool when creating shapes. This is not efficient when trying to take notes or when trying to insert a table. I love good notes for everything else but I echo the suggestions here for adding a ruler function and tables function.

It’s odd that Goodnotes still doesn’t have tables and maybe a ruler too.

I LOVE this idea!! With the buttons fully fleshed out! Absolutely amazing!

I use Good Notes 5 as my engineering notebook. As such I am often creating tables for test results or feature sets. What I find difficult andannoying is the need to be REAL CAREFULL when trying to edit hand. written table entries. Erasing an entry should be a simple swipe or two with the erasure. Unfortunately this will also erase my carefully drawn grid-lines!

I have attached a hand-written table from my old NotePlus app showing what I’d like to see in Good Notes 5. I think this could be done by drawing the droid, then selecting the whole thing and then lock the objects from the context menu. Alternatively add a vector graphic layer, similar to the image layer, that cannot be erased with the erasure. ( This could complicate editing unless you provide layer access.) Ideally provide a table tool with row and column count definitions and row and column resizing!

I use GoodNotes for my lecturerer stuff. A few days ago I asked for a left handed improvement. And you helped immediately. Concerning to that it is hard to believe that an important wish like tables in GoodNotes started in 2013 got nothing improvement until now. It would really help a lot of user getting a table function in GoodNotes 5.

please add tables! (similar to onenote) because this would make taking notes so much easier!

Dear Good-Notes Team,
I've been using your app in school for more than a year now and I am absolutely excited. But now I bought a keyboard for the iPad to write less with the Apple Pencil and more with the keyboard. So I would love it if you could extend the text-tool and add things like tables, bullets etc. Things that you can find in every other text editing tool. The textbox is also rather suboptimal. I think you can take the textbox function of Adobe XD as a model. There are different types of text (areatext, pointtext, auto-heigthtext.) It would also be good if you could insert .docx files and edit them in Goodnotes. I have brought some ideas here. But I think that your development team will be much more creative to add more features here. I hope that you will consider my idea ;-)

7 years after and still nothing!

I work a lot with tables, I have to draw with pencil and it is very time consuming.
The addition of this feature WILL HELP A LOT to the users of GoodNotes.
