This is one of the most basic features for reading PDFs and users have been requesting it for atleast 4 years now. I don't think the Goodnotes team has any interest in this, its better for those paying for this app to migrate to another app which supports dark reading mode. they are content with focusing on TAPE and Scribbling, all priorities are skewed.

I've already started doing this for new files - the ecosystem has evolved and Goodnotes just isn't a good enough solution anymore.

Notion does this well but Goodnotes does not!

I like having my system (mac, iPad) on darkmode but the actual application of light mode. It's too overwhelming for me to have Goodnotes loading up in dark mode because of the system.

They need to the ability to make the app independent of the system settings.

Please look into this as It still has not been integrated into the app

I use a lot goodnotes at night, and it is really bad. I don't like the blue colour that stands out during the night. Would be nice to either leave it black, or just be more minimalistic like apple notes or notability.

Are you considering this feature soon or should i move all my files to anther app ?.

I prefer notability over this app and not use this as often because it lacks this feature. It’s really annoying having to invert the colors every time and then needing to change them back when I need to do something as small as answering a text message

It would be awesome if Good Notes integrated this feature. It would be so much easier if the paper would turn black and the ink white when the dark mode of the iPad is on. Studying at night will be so much easier! (Of course, we must consider that prints will not be printed black, but I think this will not be as complex as in many other apps. This future works with no problems in them.)

Could you guys make it a sort of greyscale effect when given the Night Mode option. Auto Converts any uploaded pdf into dark mode when using in the app, and converts black to white and vice versa. This would be especially useful when revising at night in a medium lit environment. I gave a little idea in the picture. Hopefully would give some idea.

I would love this, when I'm doing past papers for school, it hurts my eyes doing it like this. It's a must they add this

goodnote do not have dark mode or night mode to turn pdf dark while reading at night.plz add featuress that help in reading books at night.

A nice way to implement that for goodnotes developers would be to create a "several palettes" feature, that you can assign manually to paper styles ( dark, white, yellow ... ). whenever switching paper theme you could just map the first color in the palette of the other style to the first color in the palette of the new theme. That way you could both :

- have custom palettes for each paper style
- be able to seemlessly switch paper style

which is useful for printing when you like dark mode

- adds flexibility to the overall experience without being confusing

[ note : in the edge case of not matching palette sizes, just use the first color of the palette for the other colors ( but you have to keep the information of the color index so that no information is lost when reswitching palettes ) ]

I am a student who prefers using a black background with white ink as it is easier on my eyes. However, this makes it very difficult to print my notes. It would be great to have a feature to invert the colours when printing (from black to white background and white to black words). It would also be great to be able to have a feature where we can change backgrounds of all the pages at once.

Most of the compiitors have this feature... I'm starting thinking to change to notability unfortunately

this is really important notability have implemented it so its not impossible. and yh i know there are people who does not prefer dark mode on pages but its nice to have an option for people who enjoys
