True dark mode
When the device is on dark mode, have text and pdfs invert colors (similar to apple notes and new dark mode on notability).

Completely agree with you! I like light theme for notes app but dark theme for the system. It'd be great to provide a theme selector to users.

This feature is an absolute must for me and for many others because I just cannot use light mode as it really strains my eyes. Please give priority to this feature.

When the pdf background you want to write is black, I hope the reverse mode (night mode) function is added for those who prefer white background.

Easiest way is go to Settings > accessibility > Display & Text size > Classic Invert
and use light mode to make UI in dark mode -

Please bring back the GN5 grey-ish dark mode. It looked better

It would be great if we could customize the theme in GoodNotes or be given the option to have the theme match the default device system theme or the other theme option(s).

Goodnote 6 already out with advanced AI features, but pdf darkmode is still a fancy thing.

Many apps already have it, I can't believe that also with Goodnotes 6 this option is still not available! With this function your eyes would be more relaxed when you work at night, but also would be a great improvement if you take notes with a black notebook and you want to print them with white pages. Please consider this option!

When using Goodnotes in dark mode, the background of the selected items in the toolbar is a slightly lighter color, but it is very difficult to tell which item is selected by just looking at it for a moment, so I would like it to be a brighter color.

A way to do it is to invert colours.
If you go to the options in settings, you can invert colours and have everything that is white changed to black. The problem is that every other colour gets changed to the one opposite on the colour-spectrum (eg: red becomes light blue). The goodnotes developers should find a way to invert the colour only inside of the app: this would be a cheap way of getting a "completely" dark mode.

The "smart" dark mode will essentially invert the colors of the actual document, not just them them of the app interface. Take a look at how CollaNote handles this on iPad, or how Outlook handles dark mode in emails. It's not a pure inversion of colors, rather, the background goes black and the colors you are using are adjusted to be more visible against a dark background. For example, if you are using a dark blue pen, on the dark-mode background it still shows as blue, but a much lighter blue. As opposed to inverting which would just make it yellow, and much less aesthetic and ergonomic

Please!
Switching the page in to dark is the *only* thing preventing me from switching back from Notability now that GoodNotes has full page typing.
It will be perfect if this full and proper dark mode is implemented.

This feature is a must and one that Notability already has! I've already considered switching to Notability just because of this feature and I'm sure other people are in the same position as mine
