[Sidebar] Allow to move on the right side
Adjustable sidebar from left to right. For all the left handed writers among us. :)

Outline pages option on right side. I am left handed and present sermons with Goodnotes. I like to see the grid of upcoming slides while I write, and having the bar on the right side would be super helpful.

Feature Request: Independent Sidebar Position Settings for Page Layout, Search, and GoodNotes AI
Currently, the sidebar position setting in GoodNotes applies globally to Page Layout, Search Layout, and GoodNotes AI, allowing the sidebar to be placed only on either the left or the right side for all panels at once. However, I would like the ability to set GoodNotes AI to always open as a right-side panel, while keeping the Page Layout and Search Layout on the left side. I believe this behavior was possible in the past, but it now appears to be unified under a single global setting.
I would like to request that the ability to independently configure the sidebar position for Page Layout, Search Layout, and GoodNotes AI be restored or added again.
Examples:
Set only GoodNotes AI to the right sidebar, while Page Layout and Search remain on the left
Set GoodNotes AI and Search to the right sidebar, and Page Layout to the left
Configure each panel’s sidebar position independently based on user preference
This change would greatly improve workflow flexibility, especially for users who frequently multitask with AI assistance while navigating documents.

I’m a heavy GoodNotes user on a 13″ iPad with a Pencil-first workflow, and I keep running into two related navigation issues:
1. The left sidebar is fixed and cannot host pinned content.
On large iPads, this leaves valuable space unused and forces users to rely on Favorites for navigation.2. There is no true global bookmark system.
Because page bookmarks and navigation shortcuts both appear in Favorites, Favorites becomes cluttered and difficult to use for either purpose. These two issues reinforce each other: since the sidebar can’t hold pinned folders or notebooks, Favorites is forced to do double duty.
Even a small improvement—such as optional sidebar pinning, or separating global page bookmarks from navigation favorites—would significantly improve reading and navigation workflows without adding complexity for new users.

have an option for the squeeze toolbar menu to appear on the right side for left handed users to be able to have it not block our writing

As a good notes user who just bought the one time payment on my iPad (not this account, can’t sign in through apple,) I sincerely think this app is great, but as a left handed person who has been struggling with basic everyday tasks, especially in education, I though a digital solution can also be helpful for the environment for one, and give me more options as a user who is a little bit different than the majority of the users of these apps, but I was a little bit sad to find out that I cannot move the toolbar to the right side in horizontal mode, i hope someday that might change! But thank you for this platform.

I suppose that the toolbar could be further simplified. Also, the toolbar should be allowed to move to both the LHS and the RHS, it would be more convenient for changing the tool to use more rapidly when writing!! The position of it should be moved by the drag of our finger which make it easier to chance position instead of search for the bottom in the settings.

I'd love to see this feature in the next/upcoming updates. I've included a picture of how I would want to use it. Goodnotes developers would tweak it but that's the basic idea. Keep the different notebook at the top but the ability to move the toolbar around sounds great to me.

I write with my right hand and select with my left; being able to move the selection bar to the Left would really improve my note taking efficiency.

Be able to move it to the right, I write with my left hand and I like to see the pages and switch fast but this is only on the left so I can write with this open. I would prefer to move it

It would be nice to be able to set the status bar / nav bar on the sides (right or left side).

As a left handed person it's VERY difficult to write at the left edge of the page.
If I could move the page to the right and it would stay there, then I could rest my left hand on the screen and write on the left edge of the page.
Can you make it happen???!!!

Now, one has to go all the way to the left to bring out the page finder, choose one out of the small preview hoping I got the right one, because if not I’ll have to bring out the finder again and repeat until I find the page. This is incredibly unintuitive and time-consuming. Please move the page finder button to the right and allow preview on the sidebar with the selected page in the main window to allow easy page finding. Notability already does that. My preferred app is GoodNotes, so fingers crossed this will be updated soon.

It would be a lot more convenient if I could place the toolbar on the side of the screen so I could easily reach it with my non-writing hand.

Please add the possibility to show the bookmarks or Plan on the left side of the document to navigate easily inside.

I think, especially after seeing the recent "favorites bar" on Notability, that we should be allowed to move the toolbar to the right hand side of the screen. As a lefty the bottom toolbar is not close to how useful I find the right handed mini-toolbar that I can throw around my screen in notability now. I'd love to see a more refined and better version of this feature on goodnotes for, not only left handed people, but everyone that doesn't want to reach to the top or bottom of the screen for small reasons

I would prefer the right side for the toolbar. I‘m a left handed and i always close the open documents. The bottom view is a litte kind of unpracticaple. I don‘t see when i swapped the writing and erasing mode.
