Erase over tape
The new tape feature is great, however I would like to be able to write over it to see if my answers match. I know it is possible to write on tape but it’s impossible to erase it without erasing notes underneath. Please make it so that I can erase text that is only above the tape.

I too also would benefit greatly if there was an option to only erase pen when you write over tape, super useful for studying to quiz yourself

Yes I am also facing the same issue can't edit the text letter written over tape with out erasing the tape and the letters underneath. This is very annoying and waste a lot of time in editing the tape. Please look into the matter. Thanks..

This is a problem for me because since Goodnotes doesn't allow editing of pre-existing PDF annotations from PDF Expert or similar editors, I am using the Tape tool to hide existing annotations that I'm replacing with Goodnotes annotations.
However, since the tape is affected by the Eraser and Selection tools, after hiding old annotations from the original PDF with tape, if I make new annotations on top of the tape, I can't edit them! Any attempts to erase or move marks will also erase or move the tape, revealing the OLD annotations below the tape! 🙁

i agree with you. It is annoying that I need to tap the undo button a lot of time to erase the wordings on the tape. They should actually make this a thing.

Just created a feedback account for this. There are options to erase only the tape but there is no option to erase only text so we can erase the text on top of the tape without erasing the tape.
