Measured Crosshairs (or Grid)
Tap a crosshairs icon on the toolbar to add a crosshairs placement tool (similar to the ruler) that automatically disappears after the very next object has been placed on the page at the crosshairs.
The crosshair’s lines are measure marked and extend automatically AND continually to all four page edges (similar to the ruler). But, the node at the center of the crosshairs specifies the exact placement for the very next object placed on the page. The lines on the crosshairs locate that node relative to the edges of the page.
To use the tool:
1) Tap once to select the tool.
2) Tap and hold the page in the general area where the next object will be placed.
3) Drag the center of the crosshair’s node to the exact location where the next objected will be placed.
4) Release to select a specific tool like a text box or an image box.
5) Select that tool’s icon. The crosshairs disappear as that tool’s empty box is placed on the page.
6) Interact with the empty box as normal.
Crosshairs NODE options:
1) Center the tool’s empty box at the node OR place the a specific corner of the empty box at that node.
2) Keep the crosshairs on the page to reposition for adding another tool’s box OR make it disappear to continue working.
3) Size input fields to pre-specify exact size and shape of the added box
4) persistent and/or saved default settings
5) snap to the node

The exact placement of an object on a page is currently not repeatable for multiple pages in a notebook without first duplicating an existing page. Then the old content must be deleted to make room for the new content.
1) Dragging and dropping new content does not produce consistent professional placement results.
2) If layout changes have to be made for page 50 to accommodate font sizes and word counts on that page, than all the previous pages need to be corrected as well to maintain professionalism. YIKES for large notebooks like Study Sets. It is literally enough to prevent products from being developed for sale on the GoodNotes Market. I literally have more than 1000 music study set cards that require conversion into the new Study Set format from the Beta format. I’m not even half way done with my college music theory book.
