Goodnotes 6 Beta: Writing/Typing functionality in Notebooks (like Word), not just in the new "Text Documents"
In the current beta, the ability to type text directly into classic notebooks (e.g., DIN A4) has been removed. Instead, text can now only be added via individual text boxes. At the same time, you introduced the new “Text Documents” – a fantastic feature that I find very well implemented.
However, the current setup lacks the flexibility to combine both writing methods within a notebook. Many users – myself included – like to work in a way where we write with the stylus on one page, type on the next A4 page, and then switch back to handwriting again. This freedom was extremely valuable for many use cases and is now missing in the beta version.
My suggestion would therefore be:
Keep the new “Text Documents” exactly as they are – this feature is excellent.
Reintroduce the option to type directly in classic notebooks (similar to how it works in “Text Documents”), without being limited to individual text boxes.
This way, the new functionality could be perfectly combined with the flexibility of the old workflow. Many users I have already spoken with would very much welcome such a solution, as the removed feature was widely used and important for productivity.
I would be very happy if you could take this feedback into consideration – and I would also greatly appreciate a reply from you.

This has been so annoying especially as it takes away from the ability to have long text in one consolidated space such as a notebook
