I have been impressed to see the Liquid Glass UI recently introduced in iPadOS being gradually adopted by apps such as Craft and others. This design goes beyond visual appeal—it allows users to focus more on content while the interface naturally recedes into the background, which I believe makes it especially well-suited for creative work.
Since GoodNotes is an app centered around creative thinking, such as handwriting, sketching, and organizing thoughts, I believe applying the Liquid Glass UI could offer the following benefits:
Toolbars and UI elements would feel visually lighter,
→ allowing users to focus more on their writing and ideas.Semi-transparent and fluid UI elements could
→ enhance immersion and spatial depth, similar to writing on real paper.Greater consistency with the latest iPadOS design language,
→ positioning GoodNotes as a flagship app that feels perfectly at home on the platform.Of course, I understand that performance and stability are the highest priorities. However, if possible, I would appreciate it if the Liquid Glass UI could be introduced to GoodNotes even as an optional on/off setting.
I believe this could help GoodNotes evolve further, both in terms of design and emotional appeal.
Thank you, as always, for creating such a great app. I would appreciate it if you could consider this as a small reference for the future design direction of GoodNotes.
