The worst update ever
There are so many things that became inconvenient after this update. Here are just a few examples.
- The line spacing I saved as a default isn't applied when typing in a new text box.
- The toolbox sticks right next to the text box and blocks the background.
- Changing fonts or line spacing got much complicated.(especially line spacing, which now takes several steps.)
- After typing in a text box, it automatically deselects and switches to the lasso tool.
These are only some of the issues. The previous UI was more efficient and comfortable to work with. Please fix the bugs and bring back the old UI.

I realize this is from a while ago, but I'm curious if anyone has found any workarounds or tips to make the current Goodnotes version more usable. Has anyone reached out to Goodnotes support recently, and did they suggest any fixes or updates? Would love to hear what others have tried to cope with these issues.

I totally get your frustration those UI changes in the latest update have been surprising for many of us. While we wait for the fix, here’s something that’s actually gotten better: if you’re in the UAE and dealing with a traffic fine, I used https://evgfinecheck-ae.com/pay-evg-traffic-fine/ recently and it worked perfectly. Just a small win in the day!
