As of now in most countries using audio recordings is against the law. Either its copyright infringement or violating a persons right to not be recorded without their consent. Most teachers or professors don't give those sadly. Everyone who doesn't ask and gets caught can potentially go to jail. I hate that GoodNotes is actively encouraging this behavior.
This feature should not exist at this point in time and neither should it replace favorite marks icon, that had been integradted in many of our workflows.

The change to bookmark/favorites has significantly impacted my workflow negatively. It's just bad User Experience. I would greatly appreciate that bookmark/favorite icon returning to the Nav bar.

Please return the bookmark icon in the toolbar and on the top of the bookmarked page. This was one of the best features of Goodnotes and much needed.

Why removing it without asking us users??? why blank spaces are left unused when you can add a lot of features there? Just bring it back…

This bookmark was one of the features I used most and immediately noticed it missing. I thought I had accidentally removed it somehow, thinking there may be a way to edit the toolbar that I had never used before, and I’m super dissatisfied to see that it was purposely removed!

I have never used the audio feature and while I understand some people may find that very useful I do not understand why the bookmark button has to be erased in its place. Why not have both or at least the option to select why is there so people who like the recording option may keep it while I go back to the old format?

I use this feature within a really large planner to keep track of where I am today/this week. Now with favorites hidden under the elipses, it takes longer to favorite a page and we are missing the nice visual at the top of the window indicating the page is a favorite.

Please give the favorite bookmark back. I am a medical student, and easily seeing which pages I have favorited has been critical in my studies.

Please at least add a preference to bring back the button. I absolutely need this shortcut function for bookmarking pages.

Literally this was your only differentiator of your product. What a ginormous step backwards. Please fix or let users chose what icons they need in their toolbars!

This is a critical and fundamental navigation feature. Needs to be restored asap please!

Having visible bookmark with red indicator when active was fantastic. My use is for client notes during therapy sessions. I need to quickly access bookmarked pages. But to get back to my current page, I need to easily bookmark it first. Please put the bookmark tool back on the toolbar. It's the most basic function that needs to directly visible with a quick one-tap activation. Having the red indicator also meant I could see from the corner of my eye that the page was bookmarked. Now I have no idea.

Yes! I used the bookmark button constantly along with annotations in my notes, so I'd like to see it back - or even better, make the toolbar customisable so we can choose what's most important ourselves.

This option made the life super easier when you’re writing down courses and you want to quickly find a page for later, that was a real bookmark before and made pages really easy to add to fav.

I’m using Goodnotes to make notes during meetings. I made a lot of notebooks, depending on the kind of meeting. During a meeting, I write down my todo’s. To find them back easily, I bookmark the page. The bookmark icon on top of the page is critical to be quick at bookmarking it and see if a page was already bookmarked.

The bookmark icon made life easier - PLEASE bring it back !

The bookmark tab was my main way to walk through scripts… Pls bring it back asap, working with a second tab to see your favs is so annoying.
