I hated Goodnotes because of these flaws....
I hated goodnotes...and here's why.
• No Layers or visibility setting for layers such as locking, hiding, etc.
• Outline capabilities. being able to have your notes headings at a glance is fantastic without endless means of scrolling to find what I'm looking for.
• Grouping. There's no grouping text, images, etc... nothing. why not? I feel like this should've been implemented within the app on day 1.
• Go big or go home! The pen and eraser sizes need to go big! If i want to quickly erase all or almost all of everything, I'd like to have my eraser huge and do this in a swipe of my pen. Same thing with drawing. Go big!
• Calendar features such as If i take a note and I want to add it to my google or outlook calendar, I would have to save the PAGE or screenshot, then add it manually to my calendar. Some apps have options where a link pops up to get it ready to send to my calendar. It pulls any info, via AI I'm assuming, summarizes it and I'm able to click the button and it takes me to my calendar. I then just have to verify everything and maybe set a time and date and I'm done.
There's a couple more, but not on the top of the list. These I feel are what is stopping a lot of people from using goodnotes.
Now, I USED to hate goodnotes, but I've been a user now for over a year. I've learned to overlook these items hoping they'd be added, but they're still not. If you implemented these, not only me, but I feel like you'd have the BEST app hands down.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback! We’re continuously working on bringing new features and improvements to the app.
To keep suggestions organized on the forum and make them easier to track, it would be most effective if each idea were shared as a separate topic in the suggestions forum. This allows us to provide clearer updates and status when a specific feature moves forward or goes live, and to notify the group of people who voted for that particular feature.
If a similar idea already exists, we recommend voting for the existing suggestion instead — more votes help increase visibility and priority.
We regularly review the forum and use it to help guide our product decisions. Thanks again for your input, and we look forward to seeing your ideas there!
