Left Sidebar and Global Bookmark system
I’m a heavy GoodNotes user on a 13″ iPad with a Pencil-first workflow, and I keep running into two related navigation issues:
1. The left sidebar is fixed and cannot host pinned content.
On large iPads, this leaves valuable space unused and forces users to rely on Favorites for navigation.
2. There is no true global bookmark system.
Because page bookmarks and navigation shortcuts both appear in Favorites, Favorites becomes cluttered and difficult to use for either purpose.
These two issues reinforce each other: since the sidebar can’t hold pinned folders or notebooks, Favorites is forced to do double duty.
Even a small improvement—such as optional sidebar pinning, or separating global page bookmarks from navigation favorites—would significantly improve reading and navigation workflows without adding complexity for new users.
