  1. So often I find that there are certain tools in the toolbar that I just don't have a lot of use for/only come up once in a blue moon, and I think with the new multi-document feature, this would be more than just a creature comfort.

It would work by allowing you to have all the tools you don't want on the bar in a "chest," and that would include the colors as well. Since you can drag and drop all the UI elements, you can essentially customize your UI to use the least or most amount of space possible!

  2. I have documents open. I quit Goodnotes on my iPad Pro (swipe up). The next time a open Goodnotes I have to drill down into one of my folders to open one of my documents to open the section of the app that shows all of my documents I had previously been working on. A button on the home screen that lets me resume previous session without the drill down would be spectacular.

  3. I saw this interesting article and it would be really cool if you could add to good notes or emulate it having a floating pallet.

  4. The inclusion of hyperlinks or jumps in one text to another, or other texts included in the same notebook or in a different one, makes it possible to work with live texts and therefore subject to evolution, correction or expansion, ultimately subject to continuous changes.

  6. Same interaction as Google slides for making different kinds of objects including images hyperlinks to slides (in this case internal notebook pages) and external webpages and allowing export to pdf that stills includes the links. Also, maybe take an aggregate count of votes of all feature requests involving the word “hyperlink” because I’m seeing several pages of requests but most versions of the idea has a low number of votes...

  7. Changing the colour or a photo, in particular to black and white, so that you can highlight features better. Would be an incredible feature for anyone studying anatomy, and wanting to highlight a specific nerve/ muscle...

  8. Replace the current option menu with the iOS 13 context menu (long tap) for files in file list. This would provide a better user experience on both iOS and macOS since context menus are used a lot. Also I think that having to tap on the title is not really convenient.

  9. After many years of use I can only say that for me the only missing feature is the ability to convert Greek handwritten notes into text. Is there any chance of this coming to GoodNotes any time soon?

  11. It would be helpful, if there would be a checkbox to switch the export of the handwriting notes on or off.
I often create a presentation in GN. To publish only the slides with the pictures, text boxes etc. but without my handwriting speaknotes, this option would be very nice. Until now, I have to create two documents. One with the handwriting notes and one without my marks.

Did we understand it correctly, that the option to “exclude” annotation in the export option won’t be suitable for you because you want the exported document to include text boxes and/or images but no handwriting?

  12. Need a way to navigate from folder view to document view without open a new document and close it later every time. A must for academic research and writing.

  15. Auto Backup Copy update was a great update from GoodNotes 5

However, a major problem has show up.

There is no option to automatically backup up PDF Copy with blank page layout.

This would be great to improve visibility in PDF Files. It’s kind odd my backup PDF keep the lines or dots on background of my notes.

  16. I have an iOS shortcut that opens a new, untitled document with just a quick tap so that, when the office phone rings, I’m ready with something to write on. When the phone call is over, the process of saving the untitled document into an existing notebook (which is very common), involves 15 (!) steps: 1) open page view of newly created document; 2) tap “select”; 3) select pages to copy; 4) tap “copy”; 5) tap “done”; 6) tap “close”; 7) tap “save as untitled”; 8) navigate to the existing notebook; 9) open notebook; 10) open page view; 11) click…

  17. A function for setting the size on screen to be equal to the size on printout (like on Preview app in macOS). This would ensure that the size of the text/diagram on the screen can be reflected on a 1:1 scale to how it would look like when it is printed out. Such a function will give users a greater sense of context when using the app, especially if the exported note has to be printed.

For example, in the screenshot below, the width of the PDF open on the computer is equal to the width of an A4 paper…

  18. Currently, in MacOS, you can only select an element if you are on the appropriate tool. Meaning you have to change tools to select an element.

IpadOS is better a long press gives you the option to zoom or edit - the zoom option seems a little redundant when it's easy to press the zoom button and drag the box. I feel it would be better if it just defaulted to "edit". Maybe this could be a preference option if there are people who use the zoom box a lot.

  19. when you copy/paste something and add it at another place/page, you may not see everything, since it overlaps the page. As long as you still have the edit-window open, it's not an issue. However, when you tap on the page accidentally and you lose th edit-window, you're not able to see the text which is not directly on the page.

  20. When adding / changing the name of a workbook or document, I noticed that there is no auto-capitalisation, while I have that enabled in my general iOS settings.

Is that something that can be added in the future?

    Cheers
