1. [Apple Pencil Pro (squeeze) palette] Support toolbar customization

   We all use different tools more frequently, and the new squeeze-to-display-palette with the Apple Pencil Pro is fantastic, but it isn't reflecting the new customized order we make in the top toolbar. And of course it should, it seems to me.

2. Import File to Current Location

   (This used to be a previous feature, now taken away) When importing a file, I want to import it into the folder I'm currently in, instead of it taking me all the way back to the main Documents page and me having to click through all the folders again to find the spot I was already at where I wanted the file to go. I don't know why they took this feature away, but that was a mistake on their part.

   I would like to have an "AI Pencil Enhancement" option Pencil within the GoodNotes pencil bar. This feature would leverage AI to transform rough sketches into refined drawings with clean lines, consistent shapes, and enhanced details. Users could customize the level of refinement and choose from various drawing styles. Such as the Feature Apple presented from Apple Intelligence at WWDC 24.

6. Advanced searching and indexing with AI

   Enhanced search functionality with LLMs that can recognize handwritten notes, keywords, and phrases, and provide results even from scanned text. These LLMs should be capable of searching things with Natural written things in sentence in the search bar of GoodNotes, such like these example for photos from Apple in the Picture. So it understands the Context of what you are searching for. You can search with natural language.

7. Please implement the Smart Script Features in iPadOS 18 Notes App in GoodNotes

   Can you please expand the intelligent GoodNotes 6 AI handwriting Tools with additional tools, showed at Apples WWDC 24 in the Notes App (SmartScript). I would like to see these features in GoodNotes, such as:

   1. My favourite feature: An in GoodNotes integrated AI Model that automatically improves your hand writing style in your personal writing style, as you write with Apple Pencil in GoodNotes.

13. Pasted images will be saved permanently

    I'm using Goodnotes on M1MacBookAir. I often copy and paste images but sometimes pasted images are converted original first pasting form. I would like you to fix this condition, in which edited images form will be saved permanently.

14. Remove home button or add back to folder button

    Once I’m in a notebook and I want to return to the previous folder almost 99% the home button brings me to the home page and I have to go through all the folders again in order to get where I need to be.

16. Manage Imports

    Hey there,

    we use GOODNOTES at our school on a daily basis and I think it would be a great idea to manage the import of documents like PDFs. For example: if I want to open a PDF in OneDrive and share it in order to open it into another App like Goodnotes, I can only choose to import it into the current document or open a new document. It would be a great idea to be able to choose the document and maybe have it saved to multiple documents at the same time.

17. A4 Scanning Option for Accurate Measurements

    When scanning, each scanned document is converted to the US Letter format. This means an originally A4-sized sheet is shrunk and gains borders. This is problematic because I am a geometry teacher, and when a student draws a line of, for example, 7 cm on their A4 sheet, the internal Goodnotes ruler only reads 6.3 cm. This is inconvenient. I would like to be able to set the format to A4 during scanning so that all real lengths can be accurately measured by the Goodnotes ruler.

18. Allow AI to read the background pdf as well as the annotations

    If the AI could read the PDF background/template, the annotations could be put into context. This would be very helpful for planner, journals or almost any document.

20. Safe Photo also to iPad Photo Library

    When you take a photo with Goodnotes, the photo is imported directly into GoodNotes. The image data is compressed in the process.
    If you want to export the photos from GoodNotes afterwards, then
    you will unfortunately only receive the compressed photo data.
    The original quality of the photos is unfortunately lost.
    It would be good if the photos were also saved as original files in the iOS or PadOS library in addition to being imported into GoodNotes.
    This would give you both the compressed photos in GoodNotes AND the original photo data.
    Often you need both data!
