Pet
I wanted to have a pet that will be on your screen where you can interact with it and you can study with it. Also you can get snacks/change its appearances the more you study/write notes.

Option that can turn-off the push notification downside of pages
Please make option that we can choose whether show me the notifications downside of pages when we undo something or the system recognizes palm rejection. This short-term notification always makes me annoyed!!

More space for note taking
I would like GoodNotes to allow unlimited note-taking space when working with PDFs. Currently, notes can only be written directly on the PDF pages, which is limiting. It would be very helpful to have expandable space around or beside the pages to add more detailed notes. Additionally, features like side notes, connecting lines, and more flexible layouts would improve the overall note-taking experience and make it easier to organize and connect ideas.

Text box
Instead of copying and pasting the text piece by piece, Iโd like to copy and paste the entire text and then split the text box by selecting it with the lasso tool, turning it into its individual box.

writing along edges of page
A feature should be added to be able to scroll past the edge of a page when zoomed in. Right now since the page snaps to the sides of my ipad, i find that when im writing bullet points or words right on the edge the writing isnt interpreted and i end up have half letters or no writing at all on the sides.

Easy notes for existing Calendar entries
An easy integration to add easy notes for the existing calendar on your device.
It would be great to have a list of your calendar items and them add notes to it.
Also a category for different kinds of notes and if you click you on them you get a list with every note taken with the dates. See pictures.1 vote -
Improved Typing entry: Bullets and Graphs
Two features I used regularly in with Word Documents or in OneNote is the ability for tabbed bullet lists (sub bullet lists). Also the ability to (when typing) create a simple chart to type input (multiple rows and columns to type) would be a huge improvement.

Option to Hide undo/redo button
While writing down reference details of the contents being written in the notes, the undo/redo button often comes above it in the top right/left. Hiding it while using the gestures for undo/redo is a better option in this case.

Smart highlight
I want to be able to click and hold the first word in a paragraph and be able to drag and highlight the whole paragraph in one stroke instead of highlighting each line/sendence individually.

Search when adding linked pages
Hi iโd like a search tool for when youโre adding a document to link a page. I have some reference documents that are way too long to remember which page i want to link to a current document and itโs too much scrolling once i do find the page i want to link. Iโd like when i pick a document to link to be able to search for a specific term/phrase and any pages that include that term to show up so i can see easily which page i want to link.

Video & screen recording while taking notes
Currently, there is no iPad app that allows video (screen + optional audio+facecam) recording while taking handwritten notes in an integrated way.
Adding this feature would clearly set GoodNotes ahead of all competitors and turn it into a complete learning and teaching platform, especially for students and educators.1 vote -

Presentation Mode fails when using Slide Over, Split View, or Stage Manager
Hello GoodNotes Team,
As a long-time user who relies heavily on iPad screen mirroring for teaching and presentations, Iโve encountered a major pain point that makes it impossible to present and check reference materials simultaneously on a single device.
I found that GoodNotes' "Presentation Mode" (which is supposed to show a pure UI-free view on the external screen) immediately breaks down and reverts to global screen mirroringโexposing my toolbars, background, or other appsโin the following scenarios:
During Screen Mirroring / AirPlay, if I pull up another app using Slide Over or Split View on the iPad.

More Whiteboard Characters!
I'm always running out of characters in my whiteboard. I love the infinity page for studying for big concepts or exams but I hit the character limit every time I study. Please please allow for more writing so that the warning stops getting in the way. Please make the infinity board actually infinite - It would be life changing. Sincerely, a chemistry student.

Rendering quality significantly worse since version 7 โ serious issue for classroom use
I have been using Goodnotes for several years as my main teaching tool. I regularly project my iPad screen for several hours in class and work live on the material. With Goodnotes 6 this worked reliably. The page was consistently sharp, even while editing.
Since version 7.0.0 this has clearly changed. I am currently on version 7.0.46 and the issue is still there.
What I observe is the following. Images that are not selected become visibly blurry. As soon as I select an image, it immediately turns sharp again. Text behaves in the opposite way. While I am typing inโฆ

Floatingbar
Please consider adding an option to switch between a fixed and floating toolbar. The floating toolbar is distracting during long study sessions and slows down workflow. A fixed toolbar was much more efficient and comfortable to use. Having both options would greatly improve the user experience.
