Straightening for the Highlighter Tool
Since the newest update, the straightening of the highlighting tool has been "improved", i.e. when highlighting and holding at the end of the line, the shape resembles the original handwriting with more details. But that brings a rather glaring downside: when marking, one usually does not highlight in a perfectly straight line but rather with multiple bumps etc. When holding now, the highlighter often is not converted into a straight line through the text but rather a bumpy line with multiple edges and curves. It therefore does not go straight through the text anymore.

The color of the pencil tool
For some reason, after the recent update, the pencil tool's color has become very light, and there's no setting to adjust it. I hope you can make the pencil color darker, or add an option to adjust its darkness/opacity.

Improve handwriting to text converter by removing newlines
Right now, when I convert my handwriting to text with the lasso tool, it also converts all the newlines. Any time I went to the next line because the line was full, the text now does to too. However, since text is more space-efficient, the newlines are placed randomly. There is no fast way of removing them, and when I ask AI to do it, it always changes some words as well, which I don't want. Can there be a way the converter understands my page layout or a button that just removes all newlines at once?

Reinstitute object selection toggle
Please put the object selection toggle back. When a writing tool, I do not want to select an image without purposely using the lasso tool. It makes writing on images difficult.

Writing on am image be writing on the image itself
When annotating an image that I imported onto the note, it would be amazing that if/when I move the image that whatever I wrote would move with it as if I wrote on the actual image itself. Currently, I could use the lasso tool but that seems very clunky for such a smooth interface such as Goodnotes

Remove auto-hotbar when using lasso
When you select something with the lasso, and the hot-bar of options immediately comes up, it gets in the way when you're trying to move things to a specific place, it would be much better if it went back to what it was - selecting using lasso, then tapping the selected area to pull up the object options.

New version is so much worse
Now its nearly unusable,I can’t edit a type-in document,It won’t let me change the colors or edit the title type,it is not comfortable to find the type-in part either.It just got so much worse,I’m close to switching to another note taking app.Please fix these and let us get back the previus version !

Tool bar
The new tool bar is killing me. My notes are taking longer because I have to do more taps to get to the tool I want. the highlighter won't highlight straight anymore. Also, the shape tool has its own colors that don't match my chosen pen presents anymore. Please please fix the straight line tool. I can't draw charts or get an actual straight line without using the ruler which adds more steps to my process. erasor tools
After updating goodn0te tools bar in Sep2025 I found one issue which is after changing back from the lasso tools to writing tools, it's always the eraser. Nomatter what writing tools i used before lasso ( such as pen highlight etc), it is always become erasor

Import file name as it is
When importing a file, the filename gets cut.
Example:
Tried importing a file with a filename of "9. [PATHO] Disorders in WBC, Lymph Nodes, Spleen, Thymus", but it was cut to just "9".It's frustrating having to rename the files esp. when importing multiple files.

Quick access to all pages marked as favourites
Before the latest update there was the option to access an overview of all pages I marked as favourite pages after clicking on the „four rectangle“ buttom at the top left hand corner.
There the first tab displayed the overview of all pages and THE SECOND TAB displayed the option to quickly access all my marked favourite pages.
Now the second tab is the document outline (which was the third one before) and the third now is an overview of audio files. I almost never need audio files but I need the quick access of ALL my favourites sometimes just…

Integration of numbers/excel table with goodnotes
I think it would be an excellent feature to have a seamless integration of numbers or excel with Goodnotes. Basically the idea would be to connect a spreadsheet with your notes in order to be able to insert Numbers' or Excel's tables and plots that can be dynamically updated every time you modify the spreadsheet.

How to Recover an OST File and Convert It to PST Format in Outlook?
I am facing an issue with an old OST file that I can no longer access because my Outlook profile or Exchange account is no longer available. I have tried opening the OST file directly, but Outlook does not allow it. Can anyone guide me on how to recover data from an OST file and convert it into PST format so that I can access my emails, contacts, and other mailbox items in Outlook again? Select text in a PDF across pages
We should be able to select (i.e., highlight) text from an imported PDF across multiple pages. Not being able to is very limiting.

File/document/video linking and calculator
First of all, the ability to link documents, pdf’s, videos, and worksheets into documents, without them actually being in the document, so for example, you can have your math notes on the left, and your textbook on the right so you dont have to open a seperate window to look at your textbook, you can just upload it from your files, also being able to link videos in for science if there’s a video that has good ideas, also being able to make the files editable, so if i add in a worksheet i can just do that while looking…

Notebook Synchronization
Integrating a synchronization button within the three dots menu of a notebook would help synchronize it when working on it from a laptop or iPad, as there is a synchronization delay between the two devices. This would allow the user to avoid going back to the main menu to synchronize the notebook and then return to their work.

text field and tables
Please bring back the setting, that you can customize you text field and save the customization. In earlier versions it was able to fine tune the line spacing, now it is too imprecise. It is very bad
As well we need the function to create tables. It would make so many thing so much easier. Please invent it
