Add a calendar sheet into the paper type box
Add a paper page as new paper type with the date of today into the default paper type. So you are able to create a new note book with empty pages withe the date of today like a dairy book.

I love this app - calendar templates (variety of layouts), meeting minute templates and other generically useful templates would be nice. Thanks

This would be very handy as I currently manually insert the date on the top of every page
