[Outline] Add quick access button or gesture for outline side view
So far so good!
I’d like to see a new layout implemented. I’m sure most users use Outlines to organize their notebooks so it’d make perfect sense to have a fast way to access the outline of the notebook without having to press on the four Rectangle button and then click on Outline (when being in thumbnails or favorites).
So my recommendation is to have a button to directly show the notebook outline, since I’m working a lot with lectures slides and I have one notebook for each course. The placement of the button could be near the title on the tab of the document or somewhere on the left side of the screen or the right (not everyone is right handed). Another idea would be a gesture-based outline appearance, when for example dragging from the left of the screen edge or the right. You could also implement a setting for this where users set their own preference about the outline view!
I’m sure most users would find this quite helpful and it will make you stand out of other note taking apps. I know at least twenty students who study with me and use GoodNotes and they all expressed this wish.
I hope you can do it,
I hope to hear from you soon!

Putting outlines on the left side of the screen allows users to jump between sections easily. For better studying purposes

Same, I still use apple notes for sometimes studying because of how easy it is to switch between modules when I need to review.
Updating this feature will definitely keep me studying all in goodnotes -

I use outlines a lot, so it would be great if they were more easily accessed on the top left corner. Something like if we could create the option into a shortcut for either Thumbnail/Favorites/Outlines depending on what we need the most at the moment just like with the pen and eraser tool. Also would be great if the option didn't open a pop up and instead a side panel.
A little nitpicky, but would be super helpful and eliminate my use of the documents app and allow me to entirely make the switch to goodnotes for all studying purposes and not just notetaking.
