Select texts in a PDF on macOS
The note-taking experience with Goodnotes on the iPad is exceptional, particularly the ease of selecting text in a PDF using just a finger.
However, this process is less intuitive on macOS, where it becomes necessary to disable the note panel to select text within a PDF document. Enhancing the macOS version with a dedicated mouse tool for text selection would significantly streamline the user experience.
Reading PDF document is a vital feature for many users. Please!

My MacBook Pro and MacBook Air recently updated to macOS Sequoia 15.3 and using Goodnotes 6 Version 6.6.7 - it no longer allows me to select PDF text on imported PDFs like it did before the IOS update. When I click on a word that used to highlight in blue and allow for copy and paste the highlight no longer populates and the pdf view just zooms in or out. It also doesn’t work with an attached mouse like it used to. I have tried changing all settings on the trackpad and mouse with no success. I have restarted the apps, the computer, and I have all the most recent app update. It sees the text in the pdf because it can search without issue. Selecting pdf text in Goodnotes 6 still works in my current iPad software.
