[Outline] Custom order
allow for custom outline order, current outline is in order outline is added (not in page order), allow to for choice of how to order outline titles (alphabetical, page #, date added, etc). also after closing app, view options for seeing/not seeing for example pdf outlines resets-- make choice semi-permanent or until you manually change and select or unselect an option again.

That’s a solid approach for handling custom orders! Clear structure and flexibility definitely make the process smoother for both sides. Speaking of customization, I recently came across how restaurants like Olive Garden update their menus with tailored options and detailed pricing for 2025 it’s impressive how they balance variety with value. Please update this feature!! It is very tedious to deselect PDF outlines each time I want to navigate my notebooks in each course

What is your opinion on incorporating the option to customize the order of Outlines, either by a custom order, alphabetically, or by date? This feature would be a valuable addition to GoodNotes, particularly for my personal use. Another suggestion is to allow the renaming of favorites and organizing them in a manner similar to Outlines. Since this is something the user chooses, not the document, I think it would be a good idea 🙂 -

Custom outlines to be organised according to page.
The new custom outlines i created now just jumped to the top of the older outlines, which makes my document organisation very messy and difficult to find the topics I want systemically.

I have named the pages,
and still when importing pages from files GN does not put them in order or keep the page (file name).
Now I have to start over naming the pages for outline in order to sort. -

When I import files they are no longer in order. I have to add each page to outline and then move them to be in order.
Either get them to import in order or have sort function in outlines tab.
I even tried naming the files pg 1 pg2 etc and still didn't go in order. -

This would be super helpful for long notebooks!

When creating custom outlines, Goodnotes' current behavior is to order any same-page outline sections alphabetically. I'd love to be able to arbitrarily reorder them for the sake of coherence and clarity. For example:
1. I add a section on [page 58] titled "Act I, Scene 7".
2. Further down on [page 58], I'd like to add a section titled "9. PARKER FAMILY SINGALONG".
If you look at the included screenshot, you'll see that the order of what's on the page can't be preserved by the outline because there's no way to reorder same-page sections within an outline. This can lead to some confusion, because now, it looks like "9. PARKER FAM..." happens in Act I, Scene 6, which is incorrect.

It would be helpful if one could create a hierarchy in the custom table of contents

It would be great if we could (globally) set whether we wanted both pdf outline and custom outline to both be shown, or only have the custom outline shown.
Right now I have to manually remove the "pdf outline" option from each document, everytime I open that note. It becomes problematic as the pdf slides provided by my professors have nearly each page as part of the outline on that option, often with missing or nonsensical titles. So it would be greatly appreciated if we could customise our choice in what is shown by default to only include 1 (with the option to turn on "pdf outline" for documents where they are helpful). I also recommend each document having a "memory" of what the preference was for each document.

I’m delighted I can move files from hard drive back to good notes and the outlines are remembered, however they are all out of order. I can’t seem to fix it
