It’s been a year since users first asked for Ukrainian localization, and the need has only grown. Many people in Ukraine use Goodnotes daily for studying and work. Adding the Ukrainian language to menus, templates, and settings would greatly improve accessibility and user experience.

I would like to suggest what is equally important:

1. Add support for the Ukrainian language

Thousands of Ukrainians are currently actively using your app for study, work, and personal needs. Adding support for the Ukrainian language will make your product more accessible and comfortable for this audience.
Ukraine is one of the countries with a high level of digitalization, and support for the Ukrainian language can significantly increase your popularity among Ukrainian-speaking users around the world.

2. Add the ability to highlight text in different colors

Currently, text in PDFs or books in GoodNotes can only be highlighted in yellow. This limits the functionality of the program for reading and analyzing materials. Adding the ability to choose a color for text highlighting will allow users to work more efficiently with books, articles, and other documents.
For example, you can use different colors to indicate different types of information: important facts, quotes, or questions for further analysis. This feature will greatly improve the user experience of working with documents and make your app even more versatile.

I need it so bad as all of Ukrainians who use Goodnotes! It is a shame to add russian, language of the terrorist state and not to add Ukrainian!

Please add Ukrainian to the list of Goodnotes languages.

It's a little complicated to use handwriting tool when app does not recognize letters

As you know, we have war in our country. Russia attack our country. We had big history of relations with this country which is oppressed Ukrainian culture. This war gives us to be free and make condition for becoming of Ukrainian nation. I’m 40ty. Before this war I spoke Russian because of historical relations as I sad befor. But now I start speaking Ukrainian. And I don’t want use Russian. I need Ukrainian language in Goodnotes very much. If you do this, you will help us to take identification as nation because the languages is the first thing making this. And it will be a big contribution from you to our victory under totalitarianism and evil. This war is not only about us is about all over the world. Thank you. And… your app the best ever.

Yep, they added russian, but there's still no Ukrainian... I'm waiting for Polish handwriting recognition feature. Fingers crossed

Many of my friends and I use Goodnotes for handwriting in Ukrainian, but we are unable to convert our handwriting to text (only Russian is supported for the Cyrillic alphabet).

For many Ukrainians, it would be amazing to write in our language and be able to convert it to text. This is especially true during the oppression in current times, when we are working hard to move away from the russian language as a way to preserve our language and our culture in the face of.

I would be willing to help, maybe to show different handwriting styles, the alphabet, or collect samples of Ukrainian handwriting.

I used GoodNotes a lot for my work and study, but I can’t use that convenient search functionality to search for text I’ve written in Ukrainian 🥺 .
