Subject: Feature Request – Option to Lock a Default Template in “Add Page” Menu
Dear GoodNotes Team,
I’m a regular user of GoodNotes 6 and truly appreciate the powerful tools the app provides for organizing and annotating my study material. However, I wanted to suggest an improvement that could greatly enhance the user experience:
📌 Feature Request: Set a Permanent Default Template for “Add Page”
Currently, when I add a new page within a notebook, the app shows Recent Templates and inherits the current page’s attributes. While this is helpful in some cases, it becomes frustrating when working in imported PDFs or mixed-layout notebooks — the template defaults become inconsistent.
What I’m requesting:
• An option to lock a “Global Default Template” (e.g., Blank, GoodNotes Standard, Portrait).
• This template should always appear at the top of the “Add Page” panel, regardless of the page I’m currently on.
• Ideally, it should appear next to or above “Recent Templates” for quick one-tap access.
This simple option would save a lot of time and prevent confusion — especially for users who rely on a consistent note-taking format.
Thank you for the great work on GoodNotes, and I hope this feature can be considered for future updates!
Warm regards,
Bipul kumar
