Within image annotation lasso movements
Issues
1) Within image annotation misalignment after cropping or scaling the image
When an image is cropped or scaled after annotations (e.g., underlines or highlights) have been added, the positions of those annotations become misaligned. For example, underlined text on an image may no longer align correctly after resizing. Can the developer team ensure that cropping or scaling operations preserve the relative position of existing annotations. A good analogy to this is a stick note, where resizing the sticky note shouldn't affect where the illustrations on top of the sticky note is positioned.
2) Lasso Tool affects entire image and text instead of the specific annotations within the image
Users who annotate within a pasted image may wish to reposition specific drawn elements using the lasso tool. Currently, the lasso tool moves both the image and its annotations together, making fine adjustments impossible. As a result, any minor repositioning within an image requires erasing and redrawing all annotations, significantly reducing workflow efficiency. Ideally, the lasso should allow manipulation of annotations independently from the background image. A good analogy of this is a canvas within a canvas. Like we would like the image be its own GoodNotes canvas, where we can reposition annotations only within the image. If the lasso position selects within the image, it only moves annotation within the image. But if the lasso tools select the entire image (exceeding the boundary of the image) the entire image and annotation is treated as 1 canvas and both is moved together as 1 entity.
These features are super useful for software or business teams that frequently annotate charts and images pasted into GoodNotes.
I am a power user and often annotate on top of images. Please help me get this fixed! Thanks, product managers and developers!
