Share folder with your team members
It would be great if we could share folders with our collaborators! All files within the folder would then be updates on each of our devices and it would save us a lot of time instead of having to share files one by one.

Dotted/Dashed lines/perfect circles/squares/triangles and more!
This feature is the ultimate tool to make GoodNotes 5 'the' complete notes app.
If these features were to be added, then it would be tremendously high ranking and even better than MS Notes and other famous apps. After 2 years on Campus my personal experience is that most students enjoy using GN5, rather MS apps. The most asked for question in my class is if they will add 'this' feature, because then it would make it complete and is quite decisively when it comes to math and physics.
I am sure that this feature would excel as it is…

Eraser
Having the ability to choose preferred eraser size just like how we can change the pen size. Sometimes the larger eraser is too large and sometimes the small eraser is large when erasing small details.

Widget
GoodNotes should have a widget option where we can pick a page of a document to be displayed. This would be so nice if we could see our to-do list or any other reminder on our home page.

Customize pen settings (pressure, stability)
I'm a bit of a perfectionist with my handwriting, its an issue. But I would love custom pen settings similar to Procreate Brush Studio for smoother pen flow, especially since I have very jittery over-caffeinated hands haha. Specifically for ball point pen! See attachment for my example of what I consider "smooth" pen flow; note starting/ending pressure points. Examples of settings would include stroke properties, jitter, stabilization, pressure sensitivity, streamline, etc.

Highlight text tool
There is a free hand highlighter tool, but it makes highlighting multiple lines of text tedious because it requires dragging across each line of text in a paragraph.
However it is currently possible to press and select text and then tap on the "highlight" option in the menu that appears. However, this requires using a finger and is not possible with a stylus. It also requires multiple steps to accomplish.
A better solution (and one that other apps have) is to have a separate tool that the user can use to only highlight text. Ideally, the user would be able…

Please add Bahasa (Indonesian language) for handwriting recognition
I’m Indonesian and all of my subjects are use Bahasa. It’s pretty hard for me to use the scribble feature on GoodNotes 5 because it doesn’t recognize Bahasa.
Anyways, most of college student and high school student in Indonesia nowadays using GoodNotes for note-taking, it’ll be so much helped us if you can add Bahasa on handwriting recognition. Thanks!

add tags to notes
Putting notes in a folder is convenient, but it would also be very convenient to be able to sort or search based on user-defined tags. Apple notes or Gmail are good examples.

Dark mode
There should be an option for turning on dark mode like in notability. It’ll help reducing the strain on the eyes.

Math paper templates
It would be good to have some more versatile, mathematical or scientific paper templates. For example, a split page (similar to a Cornell note-taking), where one side is ruled and the other is graph paper. Perhaps, a graph section on the top half, and a ruled or blank section underneath where one could add notes or symbolic work. Also, paired with this suggestion is the echo to add math conversion tools, converting to a display equation with LaTeX. This is the only reason I may choose Notability over Good Notes to use to deliver class notes when teaching. Sadly, in…

Goodnotes as the better Anki: bigger flash cards, zooming feature and more…
Goodnotes is great. With the flash card option it is even greater and holds the potential to compete with Anki, the best-known provider for the creation of flash cards for effective and sustainable learning, since a lot of students like to write by hand which is not possible with Anki. Especially since the Anki app for tablets is available for the great expense of € 27.99. Goodnotes could attract a lot of customers with an expansion of the feature.
At the moment, however, studying with more detailed flash cards on good notes is very exhausting as the content is displayed…

ADD SIDEBAR SIMILAR TO NOTES APP ON IOS
It would be so much easier to maneuver between notes if there was a sidebar present at the side (that you could hide/show so as not to impede on work flow) and it would show all your folders and the notes in the corresponding folders.
So if you needed a specific document all you have to do is tap the side or swipe left and you'll find all your folders ready to go! bam bam bam!

Allow to move handwriting and images between pages when using the lasso tool
It would be great if one could use the lasso tool between pages instead of having to copy and paste to move notes/images from one page to another.

Image occlusion
The new flash card feature is terrific! Thank you! I have been a Anki user for a long time because of their image occlusion add on. It allows you to make a flash card from any image, which has been super useful to increase productivity and minimize time spent making cards. Anki did not have a convenient draw function. Goodnotes has solved that problem for me.
A easy fix would be a solid fill in the shape tool. This would allow image occlusion and make the flash card template unstoppable. I know dental and medical students would really appreciate this…

Make it so the search function recognizes text on pictures.
A lot of the notes I download for school have diagrams with text labels that the search function doesn't find. An OCR program built into the search function would smooth this over and wouldn't be difficult.

A Button to Instantly Convert Pasted Text Into Default Settings
When I use my Mac along with my iPad for Goodnotes, I will use my laptop to copy and paste longer text into my the notebook that I am working on. So if I copy and paste from a website, I always have to change the font and font size to what I want it to be.
I think there should be a button in the styling area that says "Convert to Default" or maybe even a pop up button after you paste something that says "Convert to Default" or "Convert to Default Font."
This would be very convenient!
