3. Fix surface pen support

   Up until this "overhaul update" the surface pen worked like it was supposed to. Using the pencil tip would use whatever tool you select and using the eraser side would temporary activate the eraser until you go back to using the pencil tip. Now when you use the eraser, it switches to the eraser tool but stays on it until you reselect the pen tool. This is extremely irritating and I do not want to have to switch platforms when it was literally just working a day ago.

5. Slight additions for beta and future

   Hi, thank you for allowing Windows users to test the Beta version. I like the rendering of the lasso tool; it moves very smoothly. I also like the varying options of the notebook covers and page choices.

   Below are 6 additions that will improve the current & future version's productivity & functionality:

   1. audio recording feature (+ audio following written or typed words written at that time when audio is played back)
      * good for students needing to relisten to specific parts of the lecture

   2. typing feature
      * allow ability to type AND draw rather than just drawing (this'll help take more efficient notes during and after class)

   3. lasso tool
      * allow lasso to go between pages rather than staying confined to an individual page

   4. eraser
      * allow laptop/ tablet pens to erase with their pen's function. I have a Lenovo convertible laptop with a Lenovo pen. I like that there's an eraser option BUT having to physically click the eraser button on the app, rather than use my pen function, decreases productivity

   5. insert documents (PDFs) inside notebook pages
      * being able to write on downloaded powerpoints rather than looking at the ppt/pdf in a different window and making completely separate notes on the app. this feature will increase productivity

   6. save & export saved pages and notebooks
      * sharing notes between classmates has been a lifesaver with similar notetaking apps. I believe this'll add to GoodNotes popularity, convenience, and productivity

6. Fill tool

   It would be nice to have the ability to fill different shapes with an extra tool. This is a thing I also miss in samsung notes (and a reason for me to switch to GoodNotes if the app comes out in the full version).
   This tool should work for pen and marker.

7. Import and Export as GoodNotes files

8. Allow turning off of touch and hold to add comment

   Please make it so that I can turn off the function where pressing and holding with my pen opens the menu to add a comment. I have turned press and hold off in my Windows system settings so I know it is something within the app itself

9. Input lag

   I'm using the goodnotes app on surface book 2 with surface pen. Compared to other apps like Onenote or “Concept” drawing app, there's a apparent input lag when I was writing.
   Wishing to be improved later.

10. text size

    with the new Essential update (on Windows) i've lost the abillity to quickly type notes in class because i have to reset the size of the text every time i open a new text box. It's also quite annoying it keeps jumping to the lasso function after every text box i make.

    I'd like to just keep being in the text function and have an overall font size for the entire document like i could before the update.

    The rest of the updates are really good!

11. add a dark mode to android app

    at the moment, the only way to use dark mode on goodnotes android is by changing your whole device to dark mode. please make this a feature within the app.

12. Problem while saving highlighted document.

    After finished highlighting a pdf, and saving it, the saved document has the highlight in front of the text, instead of behind it as it was while editing the pdf. Hope I was clear, and the problem is an easy fix!

14. Ability to take imported PDF files and put them into pre-existing notebooks

    For me this would be really useful especial because we don't have files for different subjects- My music teacher sends me scores every few weeks to annotate read off etc. so having the ability to organize this with ether files or PDF files put into pre-existing notebooks would be great.

15. Align text with format

    (I would also like this feature on Ipad). When you use a ruled line format and then type text, the text does not align with the lines after a few sentences. I would like a feature that allows you to have your text neatly written on the lines. Maybe even so that you can choose the distance between an upper and lower sentence so it can fit the lines. This feature will make it more appealing to also write some text without making it messy :)

16. Guter Anfang, doch noch viel Luft

    Ich fand es richtig cool, dass es endlich GoodNotes für Windows gibt und habe mich sehr gefreut. Für den Anfang ist es ein passabler Start, aber mit viel Luft nach oben, vor allem wenn man GoodNotes schon von Apple Geräten kennt.
    Was ich sehr schade finde und was dringend benötigt wird, ist die Funktion, dass man seine Aufschriebe auch als PDF speichern kann. Das ist vor allem für Studenten wichtig, denn wenn man Aufgabenblätter abgeben muss, muss man diese auch speichern können.
    Außerdem gibt es weder die Funktion, dass es Linien, Kreise und andere Formen erkennt, noch dass man sowas auswählen kann. Man muss also alles Freihändig zeichnen, hier sollte auch schnellstmöglich ein Update mit Verbesserungen gemacht werden.
    Wenn ich mit dem Finger über das Dokument streiche, dann nimmt es das oft als Stift wahr und zeichnet einen Strich. Das ist in anderen Anwendungen noch nie passiert, außer ich habe den ohne Stift Modus aktiviert.
    Außerdem kann ich, wenn ich Texte umrande/auswähle sie nicht an eine andere Stelle verschieben, dass geht nur mit Ausscheiden und Einfügen und das ist sehr Ungenau. Auch das Verändern der Größe finde ich aktuell noch etwas umständlich.
    Sehr gut finde ich, dass ich alle Funktionen des Surface Pen benutzen kann, also schreiben mit der Spitze, umranden/auswählen mit der Taste und radieren mit der Rückseite.

    A good start, but much room for improvement.
    A function who I need very fast, is the possibility to save the document as a PDF. Because often I have to send the exercises to the professor and they only accept PDF-files.
    Also it gives no function to make forms like a line or a circle. That’s very bad, because often I need a sketch or to underline a result.
    Often if I scroll with my finger in the document the program makes a line, but I doesn’t use the pencil. In other programs I only can make a line or write with the fingers when I activate the function to write with the fingers.
    The function to take a text to another place is also sorely needed. If I mark a text I only can modify the size or cutting-out and integrate.
    Very good is, that I can use all functions of the Surface pen, so I can write with the top, scrape with the back and pick something with the key.

17. Webdav support

    Several note apps or pdf apps have supported using webdav for sync between devices. For those who have private file servers os NAS webdav is a better way to protect personal privacy and allow bigger storage.

20. Implement ability to screenshot with lasso tool

    In the iOS version you can select a portion of the screen with the lasso tool and make a screenshot. The screenshot can then be pasted into any GoodNotes document pressing and holding a point on an opened document.
    This functionality is particularly useful for doing homework and copying the exercise description on to a new page in order to work on it.
