1. Can't "Save Text Options as default" on Windows

   On iOS, Goodnotes allows users to save customized Text Box formatting as the default, including font, size, background color, and border style. However, this feature is missing on Windows.

   As a result, I have to manually adjust the formatting every time I create a new Text Box, which is frustrating and time-consuming.

   As a Goodnotes Pro subscriber, I would appreciate having the same features across platforms. Please bring the "Save Text Options as default" tool to Windows.

2. Need to have Android version work on android phones. Having Goodnotes work across my Windows PC, Tablet and Galaxy Phone would be optimal.

   Goodnotes need to be available as a App for Android phones so you can use it across all platforms.

3. Feature Request: Full Flashcard & Study Set Support for Android Tablets

   Hi Goodnotes Team,

   I am using Goodnotes on a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. While I appreciate the expansion to Android, two major issues severely limit the experience compared to iPadOS:

   Missing Study Sets: It is very frustrating that Study Sets / Flashcards cannot be imported, created, or used on Android. This feature is essential for my daily studying.

   Need for a Native App instead of a Web Application: The current Android version feels like a stripped-down Web App (PWA). We as Samsung / Android users need a true, native Android application with full feature parity to the iPad version, reliable offline capabilities, and smooth performance.

   Are there any concrete plans to replace the current web wrapper with a fully native Android app and bring Study Sets to Android/Samsung devices?

4. Allow removing colors from the color picker grid.

   I have added colors to my pen color grid, but unlike the toolbar colors I am unable to remove them, creating an ever growing mess of colors. Please I would like to remove them.

   Also can we get an actual color picker/eye dropper tool?

6. Please bring a full Windows app for Goodnotes!

   I think I can speak for many Windows users when I say that a proper Goodnotes app for Windows would be one of the biggest improvements you could make.

   A dedicated Windows app would have so many advantages. It would allow users to work offline, write more smoothly with a stylus, and avoid lag when handwriting, scrolling through pages, or navigating large notebooks. A native app could also make better use of the performance and hardware of Windows devices, which would make the overall experience much faster and more reliable.

   Many students use Windows laptops and 2-in-1 devices for school, especially devices with pen support. Having a proper Windows app would make Goodnotes much more attractive to these users and could help Goodnotes reach a much larger audience.

   I really hope you consider developing a proper Windows app. I think it would make a huge difference for Windows users and could be a major step forward for Goodnotes.

7. Goodnotes on foldable Android devices

   Dear Goodnotes Team,

   I would like to suggest an enhancement to Goodnotes for Android that I believe could be particularly valuable for professional users: official support for large-screen foldable smartphones, such as the new HONOR Magic V6 and similar devices.

   I am a long-standing Goodnotes user and use the platform extensively in my professional clinical practice. I have a very large Goodnotes library containing clinical records accumulated over many years, and Goodnotes has become an important part of my daily workflow.

   I am currently considering the HONOR Magic V6 as a secondary professional device. Although technically classified as a smartphone, when unfolded it provides an approximately 8-inch internal display, together with stylus support, sophisticated multitasking capabilities and hardware performance comparable to high-end Android tablets.

   This creates an interesting situation: the device is technically very well suited to running Goodnotes, particularly when unfolded, but Goodnotes for Android is currently restricted to tablets and is not officially available for Android smartphones.

   I believe it would be worthwhile for Goodnotes to reconsider this distinction for the new generation of foldable devices.

   Rather than supporting only a specific model, Goodnotes could potentially introduce a category of supported large-screen Android foldables, based on criteria such as internal screen size, Android version, RAM and stylus capability.

   For professional users, this could provide a particularly useful workflow:

   • Carry a foldable smartphone rather than an additional tablet
   • Unfold the device when Goodnotes is required and work on a tablet-sized interface
   • Access a large Goodnotes Cloud library without needing to store the entire library locally
   • Use a stylus for handwritten notes and annotations
   • Take advantage of the foldable device’s multitasking capabilities to use Goodnotes alongside other professional applications

   In my own case, this would allow me to access clinical documentation while travelling and working between different locations, without needing to carry an iPad simply to access my Goodnotes library.

   I appreciate that supporting foldable phones may require interface validation and optimisation. However, devices such as the HONOR Magic V6, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series and other upcoming large-screen foldables increasingly blur the distinction between a smartphone and a small tablet.

   As Goodnotes already has an Android application, I believe official support for this category of devices could be a very useful extension of the platform, particularly for professional and business users.

   I would be very interested to know whether support for large-screen Android foldable smartphones is already being considered on the Goodnotes product roadmap.

   I am writing to you because I truly love your app and want to support you, which is why I am happily paying for Goodnotes 6. I know you started on iOS, but it feels deeply frustrating that paying Android users receive a downgraded version with missing basic features—like font customization. 

   We shouldn't feel forced to buy an iPad just to get a standard tool like fonts. It honestly hurts to pay the same price but feel like a secondary priority. I love what you do, but please, treat the Android community with the same care as iOS and give us font and other features that iso have and we should have too.

12. Ability to toggle zoom function

    Double-clicking anywhere on a page automatically zooms in or out, but there is no setting to disable this gesture. It is frequently triggered accidentally while navigating or writing. Please add a toggle under document-editing or navigation settings that allows users to disable double-click/double-tap zoom without changing Windows-wide mouse settings.

16. please make the blue UI bar thing at the top customizable in color

    it is so insanely distracting when i try to work and really ruins the otherwise aesthetic look of the app. and the neon cyan logo has the same affect. ive seen so many other people with the same complaint, i dont really understand why nothing has been done to change this when it seems like a pretty simple change and would really please so many of your users and thats what this page is for?

17. Please implement copy to clipboard and sharing using the Web Share API in the screenshot options

    On the iPad version, the OS share menu is displayed, allowing actions like copying and pasting into a note, but currently the web version only allows downloading.

    Therefore, I would like you to implement a button to copy to the clipboard and a share button using the Web Share API.

18. Reworked app update algorithm

    I just updated the Goodnotes app on Windows from the Microsoft Store, only to find another update waiting for me inside of the actual app.
    You might ask yourself "Hm, that's odd. Why would it do that?" - easy answer: the app is still a web app just hidden in a native Windows app's window, meaning while you do get the native Windows title bar for the app, the app is still the website.

    The team seriously needs to streamline this updating progress, and there are two ways to do that:

    1) Turn the app into a true native Windows app
    I know this is probably not happening. The team is small, the Windows app frameworks are unreliable & replaced every few months...but it would at least limit app updates to a single, centered source - the Microsoft Store.

    2) Limit app updates to the in-app update framework
    This has already worked semi-reliably before. So why now implement two ways that are incredibly confusing?

    I just updated the Goodnotes app on Windows from the Microsoft Store, only to find another update waiting for me inside of the actual app.
