1. Tool Position on Sides

   Please allow the tool bar to be moved to the sides, containing it to the top or bottom limits my ability to access all toolbar options quickly since I have to scroll to get different pen colors and time is precious in classes where the professor lectures quickly. And especially as a left handed person, I would love to be able to move the tool bar to the right side please.

2. Matching abbreviations with words so they can be included in the dictionary

   Hi, I think it would be great if we could have the option to add to the dictionary an abbreviation matching it with its full word. i.e. writing "freq." and then adding it so it matches with "frequent"; writing "w/" and matching it in the dictionary with "with". This would be great for quick note writing and "helping" the AI make sense of what we write

3. Features Request For Goodnotes Beta for Android&Windows

   1.First of all, we cannot edit when we are not connected to the internet. This is really bad. We should be able to use the application while offline.
   Also, the writing experience with the stylus pen in the android version is not smooth.

   2.You should make a trash bin.

   3.In order to use pen options more effectively, you should make a floating favorite bar and you should not set a number limit on this feature and we should be able to position this bar horizontally or vertically.

   4.There is a 100 mb file size limit when importing notes. This is really annoying. We cannot import our notes above this size because some pdfs can be several gb size. We don't want to be limited on this.

   5.For the convenience of drawing graphs, features such as dotted and dashed can be brought to the pen.

   6.You can bring pencil feature for those who like to use it.

   7.The automatic shape feature for shapes such as regular pentagon, regular hexagon, etc. does not work properly. It can be improved further.

   8.We can only add images and text boxes inside the notes. However, we should be able to add file types such as pdf, audio file. I know your IOS version has these features.

   9.Even if we select the darkest color in the highlighters, it becomes darker when we go over the place we marked. This is a bit annoying. It would be better if the color don't darken when we go over it again in the darkest color.

   10.For your Android version, the ability to move the storage directory of the application to the sd card would be very good because we have storage problems. (This would be a really life-saving feature.)

   11.A percentage selection feature related to the zoom feature is really a very essential need.

   12.The selection tool is only for moving selected objects. It would be nice if it also offers functions such as angular rotation, copying, deleting.

   13.When importing notes, there is a bug that sometimes forces you to repeat this process. Be aware of this.

   14.A function to lock the screen zoom in and out would be nice. You should also include a reading mode and in this reading mode the zoom lock feature should be available without forcing you to edit notes.

   15.I know you have the ability to write and preview simultaneously with the audio file in your IOS version, it would be great if you could enable it for Android and windows.

   16.I don't know if it exists but I couldn't do it :) We cannot sort the note pages. This feature can be very effective in page preview.

   17.You should definitely add functions like sorting, copying, moving notes and folders. These are indispensable features in terms of organization.

   18.Page and cover templates can be imported.

   19.Especially in your windows version, you can have smoother transitions when scrolling pages. Especially when scrolling from top to bottom with the mouse wheel, it scrolls very disproportionately.

   20.You can bring the ability to export notes. This is a really important need.

4. Pen stability, streamline, pen smoothing or whatever.

   I know it's been asked a few times but none recently (from what I have seen). I think it would be the best addition for people like me who write in cursive so that our handwriting is simplified (because I put so much pressure on the pen to write neatly). Procreate has this option and it's so helpful !

5. Geometry tools for Goodnotes 6

   Goodnotes 6 is an awesome tool for drawing however these 5 options could be very useful to say the least, wether it’s for drawing or for being precise
   (some are already suggested but maybe not in the way that follows)
   These includes:

   1) A length lasso option that measures any straight segment
   (in relation to the page format, it shows the real life measurements)

   2) A new compass tool, better that the original: with custom traits, adjustable length and a GUI showing the angle at which the arc is being drawn

   3) A shape lasso option that turns any closed shape into a regular form
   (only works with polygons)

   4) A mirror option in the moving mode (previously selected with lasso)

   5) A goniometer showing the angle at any given point referred to an original orientation independent form the page itself.

   Goodnotes 6 is an awesome tool for drawing however these 5 options could be very useful to say the least, wether it’s for drawing or for being precise
   (some are already suggested but maybe not in the way that follows)

6. Full screen notes.

   Make a button to make the all top bars become invisible and back visible. Just like top right icon from sketchbook app. It will make the notes more wide open.

7. Hide strip

8. Make lasso selection faster

   Over the last several updates the lasso tool has gotten a delay when you try to select something. It happens when you select something with a small lasso area. Larger lasso areas do not create this delay. I'm not sure if this is intentional, but it's made the lasso tool much less user friendly.

   Here are some steps to reproduce the issue.
   1. Create a line or dot with the highlighter tool
   2. Select the lasso tool (either regular or rectangular) and select the highlighted dot using a small circle
   3. Note that the dot is not selected for up to half a second while the lasso tool pauses

9. Apple Samsung Compatibility

   Dear GoodNotes Support Team,

   I hope this message finds you well. I am a daily user of GoodNotes, utilizing it on both my iPhone and iPad for schoolwork. However, I also own a Samsung Fold 4, which I take with me to school regularly. Unfortunately, I’m currently unable to access my GoodNotes files on this device.

   I was wondering if there are any existing or upcoming solutions to allow users like me to sync and access files across iOS and Android platforms. This feature would significantly enhance the productivity of users who work with multiple devices.

   If this isn’t possible at the moment, I’d like to propose adding cross-platform support as a new feature. I believe this would be highly beneficial for users who use different types of devices in their daily routines.

10. Bring the PEN THICKNESS options back on the TOOLBAR

    In the last update the 3 pen thickness options have disappeared from the tool bar to make space for the more colors options. As students, need to change the THICKNESS of the pens very quickly and countless times when taking notes.

    PLEASE BRING IT BACK ON THE TOOLBAR!!

11. Change Email / Gmail

    It would be great if you could change the gmail your account is linked to, so that you could have access to them in another drive. When I first made an account it was with my everyday email, now I have a separate one for business and school. Would be awesome if I could change it even if it was only allowed one time.

12. Edit flashcard while you´re doing them and also be able to search flashcards

    hello,
    I want to search specific things in my flashcards but theres not an option to do so, to find a flahscard I have to swip through all of them. Also, it would be great to edit/ delet the flashcard while youre doing them if you spot an error.

14. 挿入した画像の固定化

    既存のノートに、スクラップ帳のように画像を取り込んで、その上から文字を書き込む使い方をよくするのですが、その時に、誤タップや投げ縄ツールで取り込んだ画像を選択してしまい、画像が動いてノートがぐちゃぐちゃになってしまうことがあります。そこで、ページ上の特定の画像のみを「編集不可状態」に出来るようにすることで、「取り込んだ画像に対する書き込み」の快適性を格段に高めることができると考えました。ご検討ください。

16. External View Embed (Websites, Notion Integration, etc)

    Goodnotes already has a website integration. I hope it can create an external embed link that works on 3rd party apps like websites, notion, and anything else simply as a view. This used to work with the website link, but since last year, it has stopped working.

17. Ability to erase by layer

    I would like another eraser setting in which you can erase by layer. E.g if you have handwriting overlapping or have written in a filled shape, it would be useful to have the option to erase only the top layer, instead of deleting everything beneath.

18. Always orient handwriting conversions as upright by default from users current viewpoint

    I routinely scan student papers so that I can grade them on my iPad. The other day I accidentally had some papers upside down when they went into the scanner.

    No problem! Goodnotes has the ability for me to select pages in mass and rotate them around.

    However, when grading those papers and attempting to convert handwritten comments to text, I noticed that the conversion gets oriented upside down from my current viewpoint because it interprets that the page was rotated all the way around and so it’s attempting to make sure that the conversion is viewable correctly from the originally scanned position.

    It seems to me to be more logical to make sure that the text is oriented upright from the current viewpoint, and only if the user deliberately wants to rotate it upside down that they could do so.

19. store taken fotos also to standart foto library

    Mostly i make notes with a taken foto as whole page, there is a menu option for that. But the foto is only in goodnotes. It would be very nice when there is a copy in the standart foto library as well. Then I don´t have to take the foto again with the standart foto app to have a foto without any notes.
    Maybe there is an option to choose between storing in the standart library as well or not...
    That feature would help and save a lot of time...

20. Latex editing to the Math Conversion tool

    I have some feedback and features that I would like to see added to the current (experimental) math conversion tool. Currently when you convert handwritten math to typed text it sometimes doesn't include all the math, or read some of it wrong, so I tried editing the latex text that can be seen at the bottom right other converting, but I am unable to edit it. Therefore, it would be useful to be able to edit the typed math right after conversion to be able to rectify some errors in the Al's interpretation and/or simply add things.

    Also, please make it possible to directly paste Latex code into a text fiend and auto magically convert it into Math (I.e. by adding “$” around the text latex code to convert it into Math.)

    TLDR, make it possible to edit the Latex after using the math conversion tool, and make it possible to simply paste Latex code and automatically convert it.
