Import File to Current Location
(This used to be a previous feature, now taken away) When importing a file, I want to import it into the folder I'm currently in, instead of it taking me all the way back to the main Documents page and me having to click through all the folders again to find the spot I was already at where I wanted the file to go. I don't know why they took this feature away, but that was a mistake on their part.

Pen, Add Thickness Slot to Clear
There are basically 3 pen thickness slots, eraser slots, and highlighter thickness slots, so I'd like to have additional thickness slots and eraser slots.

Supporting Lenovo Tap P12
I have changed my Tablet from iPad to Lenovo Tap and I can't download it on the new tablet. I think, it is helpful if Goodnotes also support Android and not just ios

Flashcard printing
most importantly, it should be possible to export the flashcards to a pdf for two reasons:
1. So it is possible to search for certain words (so you can see if you already have that flashcard)
2. So it is possible to print the flashcards!7 votes -

Chatbot integration in GoodNotes (with semantic index)
Integrate a sophisticated AI chatbot, akin to ChatGPT, accessible via a “Chatbot” button in the menu bar. This AI assistant can understand and analyze all notes taken within GoodNotes, providing users with an array of functionalities:
…1. Answering Questions: Users can ask questions about their notes, and the chatbot will provide accurate and context-aware answers based on the content. 2. Summarizing Notes: The chatbot can summarize selected handwritten or typed notes, offering concise overviews. 3. Contextual Information: It can offer additional information or explanations related to the content of the notes, enhancing learning and understanding. 4. Task Automation: The chatbot1 vote -
Adjustable spacing of lined/dotted/square paper
I loved notability for this but I prefer Goodnotes for note taking, but we could adjust the spacing between the lines on lined paper. I find the spacing on Goodnotes narrow lined paper is too large for me and I’d love to be able to adjust it.

Android: Filename of download the same than notebook
On Android and Web, currently the download filename differs from the name of the notebook. It would be good if both is the same.

Transparent Labels for Diagrams
I use Goodnotes for all of my graduate studies. Part of this includes labeling anatomical structures, and I wish there were an easy way to white-out labels to study and practice. There is a feature on KiloNotes that allows this and would love for it to be featured here! I’m sure all my fellow healthcare students would agree. I would seriously consider switching from the sheer amount of time saved.

Goodnotes 6 Heats up my device A LOT
Hi! I’ve been enjoying Goodnotes 6 a lot but I realised that it heats up a lot (Like A LOT) when using it and I use it on ipad. (Using it on ipad means I have to write and my hand gets uncomfortable and kinda red) I hope there could be a feature, like make it run smoother but emit less heat. Thanks!

Adaptive Dark Mode
Similar to Collanote, it'd be cool to be able to have a toggle for a smart dark mode where the paper colour would adapt to dark or light mode and the text over it would change accordingly (colours would lighten and white would become black). Many of us like printing notes, so white paper is essential but when in the dark, we prefer to reduce eye strain by using dark mode, and being able to adapt the paper colour would just ease this issue significantly.

Suggestions for setting the thickness of brushes and lines separately, adjusting the position of the toolbar, and adding split screens.
Hello, I would like to offer some suggestions for you. The first question is whether it is possible to optimize the toolbar so that it can only be on top or bottom, because for example, marking in an article requires using different pens, and the distance between switching points is too far, making it inconvenient to make it a column on the left and right may be much better. Secondly, I suggest setting the thickness of the pen and the straight line separately. For example, if I use a thick line pen and want to use a thin line to…

Voice to handwriting in GoodNotes
I would like to be able to talk and my voice to be converted to my handwriting in PDF annotated pages in GoodNotes. This feature would be something that none of the similar applications support and would really streamline putting our thoughts onto the digital paper with our own handwriting.

Add recent opened document history feature
Allow a sidebar menu link to allow opening a document from recent history across devices.
Useful when we don’t want to save it as a favourite but have opened in another device and want to pick up from where you left.

Sections for Study Sets
Ability to create sub folders or sections in a study set. I don’t really want to have 20 sets for 1 subject as that means having to move in and out of sets when building them for a single exam with multiple sections. But I’d like the ability to better organise my cards within sets as the nature of flash cards is you need many with bite sized info thus it gets a bit cluttered.

Clear highlighter
I don't like my handwriting becoming affected / "covered" by the color of highlighter (like notability). I wish there was an option we could choose.

Safe Photo also to iPad Photo Library
When you take a photo with Goodnotes, the photo is imported directly into GoodNotes. The image data is compressed in the process.
If you want to export the photos from GoodNotes afterwards, then
you will unfortunately only receive the compressed photo data.
The original quality of the photos is unfortunately lost.
It would be good if the photos were also saved as original files in the iOS or PadOS library in addition to being imported into GoodNotes.
This would give you both the compressed photos in GoodNotes AND the original photo data.
Often you need both data!
