PDF Text Selection & Annotation Improvements
The ability to select text from PDFs and having the option to copy, highlight, strikethrough, underline, and define (dictionary, lookup, read).
The already existing annotation options on GoodNotes are good for freehand writing, but it would be GREAT if the annotations be “snapped” directly to the text!

Option to disable press and hold to follow hyperlink in editing mode
I am using a planner that has the entire square of a day in a calendar hyperlinked… so if I’m trying to tap and hold to edit a sticker, etc. it only lets me open the link. I’d like the option to disable that feature…or at least append the image edit, crop, etc menu to the “open link” menu that is displayed….
This is also an issue for tapping and holding to paste… Thank you!3 votes -

Ability to find highlighted and hand notes in one place for documents
There are many requests posted for this feature but listed under different threads.
For students and professionals researching and taking notes this is very helpful when compiling or reviewing notes afterwards. Not having this feature defeats the purpose of highlighting and taking notes. Unless GoodNotes wants to just target small documents and sticky notes.3 votes -
auto linking to have a turn off option
i noticed that they implimented for goodnotes to create an auto link whenever you type “.com” at the end of anything which is very frustrating when i am not trying to attatch any links. i have to click the link to unlink it only for it to come back the second i continue typing. Can you create a feature in the settings where this feature can be turned off?

Migrate from notability in native format
It would be great to be able to migrate from Notability to GoodNotes by importing Notability notes in native Notability format (not pdf) so that the imported notes are going to be editable.

Separate resize and rotate functions and add a group objects function
As an interior designer, I use this to sketch floor plans with furniture inside. When I’m playing with my furniture layouts, it is impossible to keep the furniture to scale because I cannot rotate without accidentally resizing the furniture. Also, please allow us to group (and lock) certain things together (lines, shapes, words) so we can more easily move and maneuver only what we intend to. Thank you!!! Love this app.

Permanent Selective Tool
"A selection tool that makes everything inside the selected section permanent, which cannot be erased by an eraser or moved by an lasso pen".
Add a warning as well to notify the user once made permanent cannot be reverted back. Let it be redone by undo incase of any mistake or whatever suits your logic.
So the notes we take can be set permanent and if we want to scribble on top of it we can do so!!!

custom colour palate
Please allow a setting to save custom colour choices for every time use. I like I have to change the colour palate options everytime to my needed colours before I can write a new note. I mean there should be an option to create on colour palate and save it for later use and not just the default you have provided.

Import pdf as scalable images (or expand margins)
If expanding the margins isn't possible, maybe there could be an option to have the pdf pages imported as vector images (like .svg) on a goodnotes page. That way you could move around and resize each page of the pdf to create margin space where it is needed. This is different from importing the pdf pages as rasterized images. Text should still be readable even if the imported page is scaled.

flashcard
Loving the flashcard feature so far. Only thing that would make it more convenient would be allowing some sort of draw feature so that I can mentally dump the answer onto something I can see. For example I'm trying to memorize chemical structures and would like to draw it out first then compare it to the answer.

same document spaced repetition flashcard selection option
Sorry for the long title; I love the flashcard feature and use it every day in medical school and I am being able to study extremely effectively and learn the material while still having free time in my life.
But If I could select certain flashcards within a single document by marking them with a certain signal to allowing me to study the flashcards I made for the first lecture before I study the next classes flashcards which build off the first lectures material. And even allowing me to mark certain flashcards "VIP" cards that amalgamate from all the notebook's…

Triangle ruler
Many users asked for a ruler but in my opinion it makes more sense to add a triangle ruler as a new funktion, because then you can't only measure lenghts, but also measure angles and draw straight.
Especially in math or physics classes, you often have to measure or draw angles.
And putting your physical triangle ruler on the iPad isn't a nice long-term solution, is it?
Therefore I would be happy about a triangle ruler funktion in GoodNotes 5 :D.476 votes -
