Highlight Tool in Typing Mode
The new typing mode in GN6 has significantly enhanced its versatility. It would be even better if a highlight tool could be added to the typing mode, allowing users to directly apply highlights to text while typing.

Show comments under thumbnails + Highlight text and add comment
Right now it is really hard to resolve comments in large documents with few comments, because the visibility of the small comment icon is quite low. (Sticky notes are not great since they block whats behind them). It would be a small but really appreciated feature to indicate on the thumbnail preview, that there are comments made to a document page (similar to the indicator for pages added to favorites. It would also be a great improvement to the usefulness of comments, to add an option to comment selected handwriting or text, and slightly highlight it for example.

Password Protect Folder
I would love to be able to password protect folders that need to be kept private. I keep all my private information in folders so even if only the folders could be password or passcode protected it would be very helpful

Toolbar location on macOS
Please make it possible to move the toolbar location to the bottom of the screen in macOS. The feature is available on iPad but not on the macOS version. Also consider making it possible to have the tabs on the bottom and the toolbar on either the left or right side. As a teacher using GoodNotes for instruction in my classroom, having these options will make GoodNotes easier for me to use during lessons.

Keep in Drive only
Enable the option to store a file exclusively on the drive, while still appearing in GoodNotes as an online-only file. This feature would help free up valuable storage space on iPads and Macs, providing users with a seamless experience of accessing their files without overloading their device’s '.

Fix page scroll / page selection / page jump bug in goodnotes 5
Sometimes when I scroll through my pages, perhaps to search for one or take a quick look, the app jumps to a page selected earlier in the middle of writing. Sometimes it always jumps back to the first page and sometimes it happens only after scrolling many pages. This is the most annoying bug I've ever had and it drives me crazy. My classmates are effected by this bug too and we all use Goodnotes 5 on Ipad.

I would like to suggest adding a feature that displays the file path or folder location of a document when searching within the app.
Currently, when I search for a document, I can see the title but not the folder it’s stored in. This becomes inconvenient when I have multiple documents with similar names across different folders. Being able to view the folder path directly in the search results would greatly improve file organization and navigation, especially for users who manage large numbers of documents.

Customizable folder icons and covers
Dear GoodNotes Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to suggest a feature that I believe would greatly enhance the user experience within GoodNotes.
It would be amazing if users could customize folder icons and covers in a way similar to how we can currently add custom paper templates or notebook covers. Specifically, I would love the ability to:

Apple pencil pro squeeze for flashcards
The apple pro has a squeeze function which is incredibly useful to toggle back and forth from pen to eraser. I am very used to using this over the double tap function on a regular goodnotes document. However it is not supported when writing on flashcards. Please make this simple update.

Customizing file names of imported PDFs
When importing a PDF, when the window pops up that asks you if you want to import into the current document or make it a new document, you should be able to change the file name in that window when you switch from the default “import to current document” to “import as new document”. Currently, if you choose to import it as a new document, it won’t let you change the file name until after you import. Would be more streamlined to allow this at the import phase rather than after.

Paint Bucket Color Fill
Similar to MS paint it would be useful to have a paint bucket tool that would fill a color inside the lines of a shape. Most of the functionality is already added with the shape fill color option, but for drawings that dont use it there is no efficient way to fill the space.

Request to add option to disable "Convert" feature in Lasso Tool
Since the "Convert" feature was added to the Lasso tool in GoodNotes 5, the response time for the entire Lasso menu has become significantly slower, especially when a large amount of content is selected. I personally do not use the Convert feature, yet it affects overall performance. I would appreciate it if you could add an option to disable the Convert feature for users who don't need it.

Dark and light paper mod
It's about changing the color of the template to dark/light as it is possible in the system color change. It's about being able to change the display mode of the file to light or dark, including pdf files, which I care about the most because I usually don't have any influence on their background color.
